Conference on the Announcement of Key Decisions on Personnel and Organizational Restructuring

On May 22, the University of Economics – University of Danang solemnly held a conference to announce important decisions related to personnel work and the streamlining and restructuring of the university’s organizational system to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

In attendance at the Conference were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vo Thi Thuy Anh - Party Secretary, Chairwoman of the University Council; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Van Huy – Rector; Dr. Huynh Thi Hong Hanh - Vice Rector, Chairwoman of the Trade Union; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doan Ngoc Phi Anh – Vice Rector, along with leaders of various university organizations, faculties, departments, centers, the library, and academic divisions.

Speaking at the Conference, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Van Huy - Principal of the university, emphasized, “This marks an important milestone in implementing the major strategic direction of organizational reform toward greater efficiency and effectiveness. This restructuring not only aligns with the demands of modern university governance but also lays a solid foundation for the sustainable development of the university in the coming period.”

During the conference, a series of decisions regarding appointments, personnel transfers, and organizational restructuring were officially announced. These reflect the university’s spirit of innovation in governance, while aligning with the policy of streamlining staffing, improving personnel quality, and enhancing the operational efficiency of all units. The announced decisions include:

- Renaming the Student Affairs Office to the Office of Student Affairs, Business Relations, and Communications (Decision No. 1889/QD-DHKT), by merging the Center for Student Support and Business Relations into the Student Affairs Office and integrating communication functions from the Center for Information Technology and Communication, along with support responsibilities for the Youth Union and Student Association of the University of Economics.

- Renaming the Office of Testing and Quality Assurance to the Office of Quality Management (Decision No. 1890/QD-DHKT), with added functions and responsibilities related to inspection formerly managed by the Office of Inspection and Legal Affairs.

- Establishing the Center for Digital Resources and Learning (Decision No. 1891/QD-DHKT) by merging the Center for Information Technology and Communication with the University Library.

- Separating the Journal of Economic Science (Decision No. 1892/QD-DHKT) into an independent unit directly under the university.

Dr. Phan Hoang Long – Head of the Office of Quality Management – speaking on behalf of the restructured units, expressed support and alignment with the university’s direction in organizational reform. He emphasized that this was a valuable opportunity for departments to reflect on their operations, adjust their working models, and maximize resource efficiency. Dr. Phan Hoang Long expressed confidence that, with collective unity and shared effort, the units would develop sustainably and make positive contributions to the overall growth of the university.
