On the morning of May 18, the University of Economics – The University of Danang held the Closing Ceremony of DUE RUN ONLINE 2025 and the Kick-off Ceremony of DUE RUN 2025, marking the upcoming 50th Anniversary of the University’s founding (1975–2025). The event was attended by Dr. Huynh Thi Hong Hanh – Vice Rector, Chairwoman of the University’s Trade Union, members of the Trade Union Executive Committee, representatives of affiliated union branches, and participating athletes.

In her closing remarks, Dr. Huynh Thi Hong Hanh highly praised the enthusiastic participation of union branches and athletes, affirming that this activity is a meaningful initiative to foster a healthy, connected, and positive working environment across the university. She emphasized that the University leadership and Trade Union will continue to encourage and support sports movements within the university’s community of staff and employees.

The DUE RUN ONLINE 2025 was held from April 26 to May 16, 2025, aiming to promote health and elevate the sporting spirit among university personnel. The race adopted an online running/walking format and attracted 225 registered participants. A total of 96 athletes successfully completed the race. Among them, the male athlete with the longest distance achieved 328.5 km, while the female athlete achieved 650.5 km. Additionally, one union branch achieved a completion rate of 75%, two branches reached 50%, and three units with the highest number of completions were also recognized and encouraged by the Organizing Committee. During the awards ceremony, the Organizing Committee honored top-performing union branches and individual male and female athletes with outstanding results.

Immediately following the closing ceremony, athletes participated in a warm-up run, officially launching DUE RUN 2025, which will take place on May 25. This sports event is part of a broader series of activities celebrating the University’s 50th anniversary (1975 - 2025).
