In the opening speech, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Van My emphasized that the field of socio-economic development in the Central Highlands is a big problem, containing many fields from economy, science, technology, management and society. , population, people, undertakings and policies in development. In the presentation, many delegates also gave opinions pointing out the weaknesses and outstanding problems in the Central Highlands economy, such as the low starting point of the Central Highlands provinces; Socio-economic infrastructure has not been synchronized; The production level is still backward; economic development in general is not stable and sustainable; Geo-economic conditions - geopolitics far from major economic centers of the country have adversely affected the ability to attract development investment; Industries with advantages such as processing agro-forestry products, mining, hydroelectricity... still face many difficulties; Attracting foreign investment achieved low results. Regarding the field of scientific research, there are still many limitations such as not many new and advanced technologies have been transferred and widely applied in production; The level of application, the scale of transfer is still small, the ability to replicate is not much; The socialization and mobilization of investment resources for research, application and transfer of science and technology in the province are still limited; The coordination of all levels, branches and organizations in proposing, ordering and implementing scientific and technological research tasks; There are many shortcomings in the organization of application and transfer of research results.
