Experiencing the Training Program in Tourism and Travel Management

Extracurricular Activities

Extracurricular activities related to courses

To enhance students’ professional experience within the program, a variety of extracurricular activities related to specific courses have been designed. Many courses in the Tourism and Travel Management programme include field trips combined with surveys of tourism businesses and destinations.

In addition, students majoring in Tourism and Travel Management are required to participate in at least one career-orientation activity organized by a tourism enterprise, an event management company serving tourism, a government tourism management agency, or a professional association, with official confirmation.

For students specializing in Tourism Management, they are also required to participate in a field trip with their class for at least 4 days and 3 nights (expenses covered by the students).

For students specializing in Event Management, they must experience at least two events as participants (such as sports, tourism, or cultural events at the city level or above, and national-level conferences) with documented proof (any expenses incurred are covered by the students), or participate in a field trip with their class for at least 4 days and 3 nights, which includes experiencing at least one event during the trip (expenses covered by the students).

Other Extracurricular Activities

To further develop students’ soft skills and sense of community responsibility, the Tourism Management program offers a variety of extracurricular activities aligned with the programme’s learning outcomes.

Specifically, these activities include career-orientation programs organized by the University of Economics and the Da Nang Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, blood donation days, winter and summer volunteer campaigns, soft skills training courses, sports activities, activities organized by the Tourism Club, and many other student clubs.

Students are required to achieve a minimum of 60 extracurricular points in order to qualify for graduation.
