For the purpose of developing human resources in the financial sector to meet the practical needs of the enterprise community and local organizations, Department of Finance was established in November 2014. The forerunner of the Department of Finance is the Department of Finance administrated by Faculty of Finance-Banking and the Department of Financial Management administrated by the Faculty of Business Administration, Danang University of Economics.
Faculty of Finance‘s main goals are training and providing high quality human resources in the financial sector, to response the demand of economic- society development of the Middle and Highland region. This is also the suitable address for enhancing scientific-research capacity, practicing skills in the modern international environment.
Faculty of Finance has two Departments: Corporate Finance and Financial Investment, including two Associate Professors, five Philosophy Doctors, nine Masters with high qualifications, specialize trained in financial sector from the major universities of the advanced countries such as the USA, Canada, Australia, the Great Britain, France, Russia, Taiwan, Thailand... In addition, the Faculty also receives the support and collaboration in teaching and research from experts, executives of reputable companies and major financial institutions in Vietnam; The faculty’s lecturer have been doing sciences-research collaboration with international prestige scientists all over the world, especially the USA, Australia, New Zealand.
Faculty of Finance is currently to undertake university training and combining postgraduate education in the following areas:

+ BA in Business Administration, majoring in Finance Management.
Collaboration with Faculty of Banking in postgraduate education:

Faculty of Finance aims to become the leading training center in Vietnamese financial sector, providing high-quality human resources with international standards, the prestigious center of research and knowledge transfer in the field of finance of Vietnam and ASEAN community.

We understand that in a world of rapid changes, our students need to be equipped and updating the necessary professional knowledge and essential professional skills in order to compete, develop, and succeed. We assure that teaching content and methods of the Faculty of Finance will always be innovative to adapt to the demands of practice, towards international standards; Students will study and research along with the guidance of the faculty lecturers who have been trained in the developed countries such as USA, UK, Australia, France, Canada, Russia, Belgium, Japan, Taiwan, Thailand ... with a lot of experience, enthusiasm and thoroughness. Besides, we always maintain close ties with the alumni, the business community, and the employers. It is an important channel to help us understand the changes and new requirements of the practice, and help us put these practice issues in the classroom.
Recognizing the significant challenges from the economic changes, the increasing demands for financial human resources in the context of international integration, Faculty of Finance determines and relentless efforts to become the pioneer of innovation in research and teaching. We are aware that research is not only directed to the advanced scientific standards of the world, but also tied to real life, furthermore, it is an inevitable condition to improve the quality of teaching - “teaching must be closely linked to the research.”
We believe that these are important factors for the Faculty of Finance to become a reliable address for both training activities and research of Vietnam, and hopefully a reputation one in the ASEAN community.
