External Seminar of FSI: “Artificial Intelligent and Decision Support System”

In order to provide more knowledge about the industry and profession for students, the Faculty of Statistics and Informatics organized an External seminar with the topic: "Artificial Intelligence and Decision Support System" in an online form with the presentation of Mr. Nguyen Duc Khanh, from Yuan Ze University, Taiwan (Nguyen Tri University, Taiwan) on the morning of December 3rd. Attending the seminar were dean representative and lecturers of the FSI, lecturers, graduate students and students.
Opening the seminar, speaker Mr.Nguyen Duc Khanh introduced a video about smart city in the near future; the application of AI to create a smart city of the future; the use of AI in data collection and policy creation. According to Mr. Nguyen Duc Khanh, the world trend is to build a smart city, so for those of you who are in computer science and management information systems, you can orient future careers related to AI.

Also at the seminar, the speakers presented about Artificial Intelligence and decision making system; Actual project that the speaker group worked on and made public last month; The applications that the research team has implemented are: Medical image analysis, natural language processing. In particular, the most recent project on healthcare that Mr. Nguyen Duc Khanh and his colleagues are researching is using deep learning to measure wounds and ulcers on the body.

The students were very excited about the novelties presented by Mr. Provided by Nguyen Duc Khanh. Speaking at the seminar, Dr. Hoang Thi Thanh Ha - Vice Dean of the Faculty of Statistics - Informatics thanked speaker Nguyen Duc Khanh for taking the time to share the issues that are of interest to everyone and specially to inspire students about career orientation as well as scientific research.
Mr. Nguyen Duc Khanh is an alumnus of class 39K21 who graduated in 2017, majoring in management information systems, Faculty of Statistics and Informatics, University of Economics, UD. Currently he is a 3rd year PhD student. He has made very important scientific publications.
