• Promoting Startup Connections with Japanese Experts

    On March 5, 2026, the University of Economics - The University of Danang organized the program “Connecting Startups with Japanese Experts” to strengthen international exchange in the field of innovation and entrepreneurship, while creating a forum for students to directly engage with experienced experts involved in startup investment and support activities in Japan.

    Attending the program were Mr. Shinichiro Oikawa - Representative Director of AXE Ventures LLC (Japan); Mr. Hiroshi Mukai - Director of First Penguin (Japan); Mr. Nguyen Quoc Vu - Director of B PRODUCTIONS (Vietnam), along with their delegation.

    Representing the University of Economics were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doan Ngoc Phi Anh - Vice Rector of the University; representatives from the Department of Student Affairs, Business Relations and Communications, the Department of Science and International Cooperation, the Youth Union, the Faculty of Business Administration, and Mr. Pham Ngoc Sinh - Chairman of the Advisory Board for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.


    Experts shared an overview of Japan’s startup ecosystem


    During the program, the experts shared an overview of Japan’s startup ecosystem, experiences in organizing pitching activities, investment networking, as well as support models for startups in their formation and early growth stages.

    Within the framework of the program, student teams from the University of Economics presented their business ideas and models through short pitching sessions. The projects received practical and specific feedback from the experts regarding feasibility, market potential, product development strategies, revenue models, and scalability.

    In addition to professional feedback, the experts also discussed future cooperation directions, including opportunities to connect mentoring activities, co-organize training programs on entrepreneurship and pitching skills, and expand opportunities for exchanges and investment connections between Vietnam and Japan. This is considered an important foundation for strengthening collaboration between the University and international organizations and enterprises in the field of innovation and entrepreneurship.
