I chose DUE: From moments of wanting to give up to a perfect admission score
25/09/2026
With a perfect admission score of 30/30, first-year student Tran Nhat Uyen, from Class 52K36-P of the Faculty of E-commerce, Marketing and Digital Technology, has been named valedictorian of the English partially taught programme at the University of Economics - The University of Danang for 2026.
Nhat Uyen is from Da Nang and previously studied at Hiep Duc High School. She was admitted to DUE through a combined admission pathway based on English proficiency and academic performance. Uyen achieved a high school transcript score of 29.2 in the Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry combination and received an additional 2.5 bonus points, bringing her admission score to 31.7 before it was converted to the 30-point scale. She also holds an IELTS 5.0 certificate and was recognised as an “Excellent Student” for three consecutive years in high school.
Behind this outstanding result lies a learning journey built on perseverance. Nhat Uyen acknowledged that there were many times when she felt exhausted, doubted herself and considered giving up. However, she understood that knowledge and university education were important pathways to expanding opportunities, shaping her future and developing her potential.
As a quiet person by nature, Uyen has always reminded herself to take the initiative in asking teachers about assignments she did not understand. For her, the greatest source of pride is not the score she achieved but the fact that she genuinely made every effort, refused to stop in the face of difficulties and gradually gained a clearer understanding of the goals she wants to pursue.
By choosing DUE, Nhat Uyen placed her trust in the academic reputation of one of the leading economics-focused universities in central Vietnam. After experiencing the learning environment during her initial period at the university, Uyen said she was impressed by the facilities, as well as the enthusiasm and sense of responsibility of the teaching staff.
“I hope DUE will help me break through my limits, develop my strengths and unlock my potential in the years ahead”, Nhat Uyen said.
As she begins her university journey, the valedictorian has set a goal of continuing to strive for strong academic results. At the same time, Uyen hopes to become more open and confident in communication
