Conference Announces Leadership Appointments at the University of Economics, The University of Danang

On September 22, 2026, the University of Economics - The University of Danang held a conference to announce decisions on the university’s leadership appointments, including the appointment of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Tung Lam as Vice President of the University of Economics - The University of Danang and the approval of Hoang Tung as Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the University of Economics - The University of Danang.

The conference was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Vu, Member of the Da Nang Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee and President of The University of Danang; Dr. Cao Xuan Tuan, Head of the Department of Organization and Personnel of The University of Danang; and M.A. Phan Kim Tuan, Chief of the Office of the Party and Mass Organizations of The University of Danang.

Representing the University of Economics were Prof. Dr. Le Van Huy, Secretary of the Party Committee and President of the university; former leaders of The University of Danang and the University of Economics over different periods; members of the university’s Board of Presidents and Party Committee; leaders of mass organizations, faculties, institutes, departments and centers; as well as a large number of university officials and employees.

Speaking at the conference, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Vu congratulated Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Tung Lam and Hoang Tung on being entrusted with their new responsibilities. He expressed his expectation that the university’s leaders would continue to build on its 50-year tradition, achievements, potential and strengths.

The President of The University of Danang highlighted several key tasks for the period ahead. First, the university needs to effectively implement its 2026 - 2027 academic year plan, striving to meet and exceed the targets assigned to it.

At the same time, Party building work should remain a priority, with a focus on improving the quality of political and ideological education and effectively carrying out mass mobilization efforts. Cooperation between the university and the business community should be strengthened in a substantive manner, aligned with demand for human resources development, research and knowledge transfer.

Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Vu also called on the university to strengthen ties with ministries, sectors and local authorities to mobilize additional resources for development, while proactively engaging in research, consultancy and efforts to address practical challenges related to the socio-economic development of the country and Da Nang.

Prof. Dr. Le Van Huy congratulated Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Tung Lam and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Tung on their new responsibilities, stressing that strengthening the university’s leadership team marks an important milestone while also placing new demands on the university community as it enters its next phase of development.

The President of the University of Economics expressed confidence that, in their new positions, the two officials would draw on their professional expertise, management experience and sense of responsibility, working with the university’s leadership team to effectively implement key priorities in science, technology, innovation, international cooperation, Party building and the development of the university’s institutional culture.
