Opening Ceremony of the 2026 - 2027 Academic Year: Proactive Innovation, Shaping the Future

In harmony with the vibrant atmosphere of the nationwide Opening Ceremony, on the morning of September 5, 2026, the University of Economics solemnly held the Opening Ceremony for the 2026 - 2027 academic year.

The national Opening Ceremony took place both in-person and online, with the University of Economics broadcasting the event live, spreading the spirit of the new academic year to all staff, lecturers, and students of the university.

In his welcoming address for the new academic year, Prof. Dr. Le Van Huy, Rector of the University of Economics, emphasized that the 2025 - 2026 school year had marked numerous proud achievements, laying a solid foundation for the university’s new phase of development. The admissions process was flexible and adaptive, yielding outstanding results; training quality continued to improve, with over 90% of graduates securing employment within six months. Scientific research, international cooperation, corporate relations, entrepreneurship, innovation, and collective activities also achieved many notable milestones.

Entering the 2026 - 2027 academic year, the University of Economics has identified this as a period of dynamic transformation, aiming toward digitalization, green transition, innovation, and elevating international cooperation. The university is committed to building a friendly, modern, and professional learning environment; encouraging creative ideas and enhancing integration capacity.

Addressing the new K52 cohort, the Rector advised: “Learn to grow; research to discover; innovate to create value; act to make a difference”. At the same time, the university leadership called upon all staff, lecturers, and students to join forces in building a stronger, more humane, creative, and reputable University of Economics.

During the Opening Ceremony, Le Xuan Nhu An, a freshman representative from the Faculty of Tourism and International Business, expressed the honor of officially joining the University of Economics, sharing the emotions and pride of the 52nd cohort as they embark on a new journey. The freshman representative affirmed their determination to continue the university’s developmental path, ignite the flame of knowledge and innovation, persist in learning, overcome challenges, and dedicate their hearts, minds, and strength to personal growth and societal contributions.
