DUE Students Embark on International Internship Experience in Thailand

From July to September 2026, four students from the University of Economics - University of Danang (DUE) are participating in an international internship program at King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB), Thailand. The program offers opportunities for academic and cultural immersion, providing students with invaluable first-hand experiences in a foreign educational setting.

The participating students include Nguyen Dang Thanh Tam (Class 49K25.3, Faculty of Business Administration); Phan Thi Cam Linh (Class 49K01.1-E); and Mai An Huy and Pham Thi Tra My (both from Class 49K01.2E, Faculty of International Business).

During the internship, the students are not only exposed to an international academic environment but also engage in practical learning activities, broadening their understanding of Thai culture, society, and environment. A notable highlight of the program was an outdoor learning excursion to the Sattahip Naval Base in Chonburi province. In the morning, students participated in snorkeling activities, exploring coastal marine ecosystems and coral reefs at the Naval Diver Training Center. The afternoon saw the group visiting the Sea Turtle Conservation Center, taking part in mangrove tree planting, and releasing crabs back into their natural habitat. These activities provided direct experience in biodiversity conservation and heightened awareness of environmental responsibility.

The program is organized under the guidance and safety supervision of the Royal Thai Navy at the Sattahip base. Concluding their journey, the students visited the Sak Ngiew Market in Pattaya, a site rich with traditional Chinese cultural heritage, offering fresh perspectives on cultural integration within the local community.

The three-month internship in Thailand is not only a chance for DUE students to gain professional experience in an international environment, but also a valuable opportunity to develop adaptability, intercultural communication, and a global citizen mindset. Each practical experience contributes essential skills, empowering students to confidently integrate and advance their careers in regional and international contexts.
