In-depth FinTech Training Opens: Updating Digital Finance Trends and Expanding Research Collaboration

On August 10, 2026, the Institute for FinTech Research and Training, Innovation and Sustainable Development, University of Economics - University of Danang, launched an intensive FinTech training program focusing on emerging trends in digital finance, tokenized assets, and technology-driven financial models.


Speaking at the opening ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Doan Ngoc Phi Anh, Vice Rector of the University, emphasized the rapid development of financial technology, which poses new requirements for higher education, research activities, and management practices.
“The rapid growth of FinTech is raising new demands for higher education, research, and management practices. This training program is an opportunity for lecturers, researchers, and stakeholders to update themselves on new trends while bridging academic knowledge with practical issues in Vietnam’s digital finance sector,” said Associate Professor Dr. Doan Ngoc Phi Anh.

The first training session was led by Associate Professor Dr. Mieszko Mazur, a prominent expert and active researcher in FinTech, digital finance, and digital assets from EMLV Business School (France). Under the theme “Tokenized Asset Markets: Platforms, Investment, and Management,” Dr. Mazur analyzed the structure and trends of the tokenized asset market in 2026, the mechanisms and economics of Bitcoin mining, blockchain generations, investment strategies, and global approaches to managing digital assets, with implications for Vietnam.

The program is designed to combine expert lectures, data analysis, case studies, practical illustrations, and live discussions. This approach enables participants not only to update their knowledge but also to exchange research methods, data sources, and practical applications for digital finance issues.



Integrating new digital finance topics into training and research activities is one of the directions DUE is implementing to enhance expertise in the digital finance sector and expand academic and research cooperation with experts, training institutions, and stakeholders both domestically and internationally.

The training program continues with two further in-depth sessions:
Session 2: “Tokenization, Stablecoins, and Decentralized Finance (DeFi)” on August 12, 2026
Session 3: “Digital Banking, Neobanks, Insurtech, Robo-Advisors, and AI” on August 14, 2026

Through this series, the program aims to provide an interdisciplinary perspective on ongoing changes within the digital finance ecosystem, creating a foundation for further research, training, and policy discussions on FinTech in Vietnam.
