Promoting Collaboration to Support the Startup Ecosystem with oBacker and VPBank

On August 6, 2026, the University of Economics - University of Danang held a working session with oBacker Company and VPBank to discuss directions for cooperation in supporting startups, fostering innovation, and developing a business ecosystem for students.

During the meeting, oBacker introduced its startup support ecosystem, offering solutions in legal, tax, and accounting services, as well as company formation. The company also proposed collaborating on internship programs, subsidizing the costs of establishing and operating businesses in the initial stage, and connecting faculty and student startup projects with city-level support programs.

A representative from VPBank proposed providing digital solutions for business management, welcoming students for internships with financial support, and introducing partnership programs tailored for startups. Notably, the bank plans to launch a loan support package of up to VND 30 billion for a maximum of 100 DUE student startup projects that meet the program’s requirements, while also facilitating connections with experts, investors, and the entrepreneurial network.

On the university’s side, the University of Economics proposed strengthening the connection between the business network and alumni, co-organizing training and startup mentoring programs, communicating support policies to students, and joining hands in the DUE 2026 Startup and Innovation Week.

The parties also agreed to explore the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation, creating a foundation for the long-term and effective implementation of startup support activities.

The session opened up many practical cooperation opportunities between the university, businesses, and the bank in building a comprehensive startup ecosystem contributing to the promotion of innovation, enhancing students’ entrepreneurial capabilities, and creating favorable conditions for promising ideas to be gradually realized, thereby meeting the region’s demand for high-quality human resources and an innovative ecosystem.
