On July 18, 2026, the University of Economics – University of Danang hosted a career information program for a group of students from the Vietnam Foundation (VNF), Australia, as part of the Build a Future Scholarship Program (BAF) Summer Camp 2026. The event aimed to provide insights into university learning environments, career orientation, and essential skills for students on the threshold of higher education. It was one of a series of activities under the BAF Summer Camp themed “Effective University Preparation,” designed to better equip students for their future academic journeys through hands-on activities, campus tours, and interactions at reputable higher education institutions.
Representing the Vietnam Foundation (Australia) was Mr. Williams Rhys, Chairman of the Vietnam Foundation, along with other organization representatives. The University of Economics was represented by leaders from the Training Department and the Department of Science and International Cooperation. The event also drew a large number of students from Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted, Vo Nguyen Giap High School for the Gifted (Quang Tri Province), and Quoc Hoc Hue High School for the Gifted (Hue City).

As part of the program, Dr. Nguyen Son Tung, Deputy Head of the Training Department, provided an overview of the University of Economics – University of Danang, highlighting outstanding features of the university’s training programs, admission methods, learning environment, scientific research activities, international cooperation, as well as scholarship and career development opportunities for students. The information presented offered students a comprehensive perspective on academic choices and preparations for their future university journey.

In addition, Ms. Le Thi Na, Lecturer from the Faculty of Accounting, delivered a session titled “Essential Skills for University Life”, focusing on equipping students with critical skills to adapt and thrive in the university environment. Through practical examples and interactive discussions, students were encouraged to develop proactive thinking, time management, teamwork, communication, and goal-setting skills from their high school years.

The program took place in an open and lively atmosphere, with many questions and direct exchanges between students and speakers. Practical insights from University of Economics lecturers helped students better understand the demands of higher education, while also motivating them to plan their academic paths and personal development. 
The collaboration with Vietnam Foundation continues to affirm the University of Economics’ role in strengthening partnerships with international educational organizations, supporting students in career orientation activities, and contributing to the preparation of high-quality human resources for the future. Vietnam Foundation is a non-profit organization from Australia with over 30 years of operation in Vietnam, implementing various educational support programs, including the Build a Future (BAF) scholarship for students with outstanding academic achievements and difficult circumstances.
