Promoting Cooperation to Enhance the Quality of the Journal of Economic Science

On July 16, 2026, a delegation from the Journal of International Management and Economics (Foreign Trade University) held a working session with the Journal of Economic Science, University of Economics – University of Danang. The meeting aimed to exchange experience in scientific journal development, promote academic cooperation, and set directions for enhancing publication quality in line with international standards.

During the session, both parties discussed topics related to journal governance and operations, the development of author, editor, and reviewer networks, and shared experiences in improving the quality of scientific publications. Discussions also focused on increasing impact factors and expanding international database visibility. In addition, the two sides addressed new legal requirements for university-based scientific journals under the 2025 Press Law, as well as the roadmap for inclusion in international indexing systems such as Scopus and Web of Science.


Bilateral Cooperation Agreement Signed

Speaking at the event, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doan Ngoc Phi Anh, Vice Rector of the University of Economics - University of Danang, noted that the cooperative relationship between the University of Economics and Foreign Trade University has been effectively developed through various research activities, academic conferences, and scholarly exchanges over the years. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doan Ngoc Phi Anh expressed his hope that the two journals will further strengthen experience sharing, collaborate in development, and gradually meet international standards, thereby enhancing the profile of Vietnam’s economic science journal system.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tu Thuy Anh, Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of International Management and Economics at Foreign Trade University, shared insights on the journal’s internationalization process, development of international publishing partnerships, and participation in reputable databases and indexing systems such as DOAJ, ProQuest, and COPE. She also discussed plans for building a profile for inclusion in Scopus in the near future.

At the meeting, the two parties signed a cooperation agreement to enhance collaboration in the development of internationally-oriented journals. The agreement focuses on sharing resources, supporting communications, implementing professional activities, and fostering academic cooperation, thereby improving publication quality, extending influence, and increasing the academic value of both journals.
