COMBELT 2026 Conference: International Academic Forum Promotes Multidisciplinary Research Collaboration

On July 7, 2026, the University of Economics - University of Danang, in partnership with 15 universities and international organizations, hosted the International Conference on Management, Business, Economics, Law and Technology (COMBELT 2026).
Co-organizers included academic partners from a wide range of countries: Babes Bolyai University (Romania), Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences (Germany), Kalasin University (Thailand), University of Liège (Belgium), National Economics University (Vietnam), National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (Taiwan), Southern Leyte State University (Philippines), Udon Thani Rajabhat University (Thailand), University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam), University of Economics - Hue University (Vietnam), Yuan Ze University (Taiwan), King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok (Thailand), MacEwan University (Canada), Saxion University of Applied Sciences (Netherlands), and the Embassy of Canada in Vietnam.

The conference’s plenary session featured two distinguished international scholars, offering updated perspectives on trends shaping the future of management and technology. Professor Timber Haaker (Saxion University of Applied Sciences, Netherlands) delivered a presentation titled “Business Models, Business Model Innovation and Sustainability in the Context of Digital Transformation,” analyzing how enterprises adapt to the fluctuations of the digital economy through business model innovation, while aiming for sustainable growth.

Professor Mohammed Elmorsy (Department of Computer Science, MacEwan University, Canada) presented on “Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, and Connected Systems in Addressing Real-World Challenges,” shedding light on the roles of AI, IoT, and intelligent systems in enhancing management efficiency, optimizing operations, and addressing business and societal development challenges in the digital era.

The COMBELT 2026 international conference attracted over 200 domestic and international scholars. The organizing committee received 263 papers, with nearly 200 presented at the conference. The scale and academic quality once again affirmed COMBELT’s appeal as a reputable research forum, promoting knowledge exchange and international collaboration in management, business, economics, law, and technology.
Within the conference, 24 parallel sessions focused on issues of interest to the academic community and economies, such as: sustainable development and corporate responsibility; management and business in the digital era; finance, banking, economics, and international business; marketing, tourism, and services in the circular economy; law, technology, and corporate adaptation; as well as interdisciplinary perspectives on management and society.

The organizing committee awarded Best Paper honors to two outstanding academic works:
- “Electromobility Law in Poland: From Declaratory Regulation to Infrastructure-Oriented Innovation Policy” by Maciej Szmigiero from Wyszynski University in Warsaw (Poland)
- “Exploring Da Nang’s Destination Image Through TripAdvisor Reviews: An LLM-Assisted Aspect-Based Sentiment Analysis” by Tran Hoang Uyen Thao and Nguyen Thi Sang from the University of Economics - University of Danang.

COMBELT 2026 contributes to promoting new research directions, strengthening cooperation among universities, enterprises, and government agencies, and providing scientific arguments to inform policy-making and socio-economic development amid digital transformation and international integration.
