DUE Expands International Academic Engagement in Human Resource Management

From June 8 to 12, 2026, Dr. Huynh Thi My Hanh, lecturer at the Faculty of Business Administration, University of Economics - the University of Danang, participated in the Erasmus+ International Teaching Mobility program at the University of Graz (Austria) under the Erasmus+ KA171 project.
The program provided a platform for faculty members to teach, engage in academic exchanges, and foster international collaboration in the field of Human Resource Management (HRM), contributing to the university’s ongoing efforts to internationalize education.
During her time at the University of Graz, Dr. Huynh Thi My Hanh conducted two specialized lectures for Graz students. The session titled “From Evaluation to Conversation: Rethinking Performance Feedback in Modern Organizations” focused on shifts in performance management and employee feedback within contemporary organizations. The second topic, “Between Tradition and Change: Managing Emerging Workforces in Transitional Cultures - Insights from Vietnam”, offered perspectives from Vietnam on the transformation of young workforces and the challenges of multicultural HRM. The lectures generated dynamic academic discussions among faculty and international students, while also introducing practical viewpoints from Vietnam to the European academic environment.
In addition to her teaching activities, Dr. Huynh Thi My Hanh attended sessions on Strategic and International Human Resource Management and engaged in professional exchange with faculty members of the Department of Human Resource Management, University of Graz. Discussions centered on curriculum design, teaching methodologies, and emerging research trends in HRM.
Within the framework of the program, Dr. Huynh Thi My Hanh met with Professor Renate Ortlieb, Head of the Department of Human Resource Management, and Dr. Christian Hirt, Deputy Head, to explore future collaboration opportunities between the two universities. The discussions focused on student and staff exchanges, joint research, and the development of academic activities in international and cross-cultural human resource management.
Reflecting on the program, Dr. Huynh Thi My Hanh shared: “What impressed me most was not only the lectures and professional exchanges, but also the openness in academic dialogue and the willingness to learn from each other among international colleagues and students. These experiences have inspired new ideas for teaching, research, and future cooperation".
Concluding a week of professional activities in Austria, the Erasmus+ program provided valuable academic experiences and paved the way for new academic connections between the University of Economics – the University of Danang and the University of Graz. This underscores DUE’s commitment to strengthening international integration, enhancing educational quality, and bringing Vietnamese expertise closer to the global academic community.
