Implementing a Cooperation Plan with Hoa Vang Commune (Da Nang City) in Digital Transformation and Socio-Economic Development for 2026

On June 4, the University of Economics, in collaboration with the People’s Committee of Hoa Vang Commune (Da Nang City), convened a conference to launch the 2026 Cooperation and Support Plan. The event aimed to concretize the commitments signed by both parties on April 10, 2026, and to establish a roadmap for practical activities that support the commune’s socio-economic development objectives.
Attendees included Le Phu Nguyen, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Hoa Vang Commune People’s Committee; Dinh Thi Thuy Huong, Standing Vice Chairwoman of the Commune People’s Committee; Ho Tang Phuc, Vice Chairman of the Commune People’s Committee; and leaders of the commune’s specialized departments. Representing the University of Economics were Dr. Huynh Thi Hong Hanh, Vice Rector and Chairwoman of the University’s Trade Union, alongside faculty leaders, lecturers, and experts.
At the conference, Ms. Dinh Thi Thuy Huong provided an overview of the commune’s socio-economic development and outlined strategic priorities for the coming period. Notably, the selection of Hoa Vang as a model commune for e-commerce development was highlighted as a key initiative to promote the digital economy, enhance the competitiveness of local products, and broaden market access for residents.

Ms. Dinh Thi Thuy Huong emphasized the locality’s desire for the University of Economics’ partnership in providing digital skills training, online sales capability development, support for marketing and consumption of OCOP (One Commune, One Product) goods, and consultancy for a digital transformation roadmap tailored to local realities.
Addressing the conference, Dr. Huynh Thi Hong Hanh reaffirmed the University’s commitment to leveraging its strengths in education, scientific research, and knowledge transfer to accompany the commune in its development journey. Responding to the practical needs of Hoa Vang, the University proposed a range of support activities, including training in artificial intelligence (AI) applications for local officials, facilitating public access to and effective use of e-government services, providing legal, financial, and e-commerce management training to local businesses, as well as entrepreneurship and innovation consulting. The University also pledged to enhance management capacities for both small and large enterprises operating in the locality.

During the discussion session, leaders from both sides focused on clarifying specific areas of collaboration, identifying focal points for implementation, and agreeing on solutions to ensure the feasibility and effectiveness of the cooperation program. Numerous practical proposals were raised to foster closer integration between the University’s training and research activities and the commune’s real development demands.

In his concluding remarks, Mr. Le Phu Nguyen recognized and highly valued the sense of responsibility and partnership from the University of Economics in supporting local human resource development, digital transformation, and the enhancement of management capacities for residents and businesses.

He also expressed his expectation that the partnership between the Hoa Vang Commune People’s Committee and the University of Economics would be further strengthened, generating practical value for the community, promoting local socio-economic development, and gradually realizing the goal of making Hoa Vang a pioneering locality in digital transformation, e-commerce, and innovation within Da Nang City.
