“Seeds of Kindness” Scholarship Awards More Than VND 300 Million to Support Disadvantaged Students

On April 1, 2026, the Management Board of the “Seeds of Kindness” Scholarship Fund, in collaboration with University of Economics - The University of Danang, organized a scholarship awarding ceremony for 39 students facing particularly difficult circumstances, with a total value of more than VND 300 million. Each scholarship covers 100% of the tuition fee for Semester II of the 2025 - 2026 academic year for the recipients.

Mr. Tran Thanh Cao - Director of Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank, Da Nang Branch, and representative of the “Seeds of Kindness” Scholarship Fund Management Board, emphasized that the scholarship fund not only provides financial support but also conveys trust in the students’ determination, resilience, and aspiration to rise above adversity.

Dr. Huynh Thi Hong Hanh - Vice Rector of the University of Economics - expressed sincere and profound gratitude to the Scholarship Fund Management Board - those who initiated, connected, and mobilized resources from the alumni community and benefactors to join hands with the University in nurturing knowledge, sowing seeds of faith, and bringing hope to today’s generation of students. At the same time, the Vice Rector believes that the care, affection, and responsibility shown by alumni and the “Seeds of Kindness” Scholarship Fund will not only be valuable material support, but more importantly, a powerful source of motivation for students to overcome difficulties, continue studying and training well, and pursue their dreams of a brighter future.

Representing the scholarship recipients, Mai Thị Phương Trâm (Class 49K01.4, Faculty of International Business) emotionally shared: “For us, the ‘seed’ today may still be young and fragile, but thanks to such nurturing, we will strive to grow stronger every day. We promise not only to study harder, but also to live more responsibly, to love and share more - so that one day, we too can become the ones who continue sowing these ‘seeds of kindness’ for future generations”.

Following the scholarship awards for freshmen in November 2025, this was the second time that the University of Economics, together with the Scholarship Fund Management Board, organized a scholarship awarding ceremony for the University’s students. In this round, 39 DUE students were honored to receive scholarships with a total value of VND 319,227,030. More than half of the recipients achieved Good or Excellent academic performance; 23 students come from poor or near-poor households, and 2 students are suffering from serious illnesses. The remaining students also come from very difficult family circumstances. Notably, the scholarship recipients in this round have all made significant contributions to community activities and scientific research.
