According to Decision No. 706/QD-BGDDT dated March 26, 2026, issued by the Minister of Education and Training, the University of Economics – The University of Danang (DUE) is among eight higher education institutions nationwide entrusted by the Ministry to implement the 2026 Small and Medium-Sized Enterprise (SME) Support Program, with a total allocated budget of up to VND 9 billion.
Being selected once again reaffirms the University’s academic reputation and implementation capacity, while also highlighting DUE’s increasingly prominent role within the business support ecosystem and regional economic development across Central Vietnam and the Central Highlands.
Within the framework of the program, DUE will carry out three key groups of tasks.
- In the area of technology support for innovative startup SMEs, DUE will directly provide strategic consulting and digital transformation support, while also assisting businesses in registering intellectual property protection.
- In the area of human resource development for SMEs, DUE will organize specialized training programs in entrepreneurship and business administration, along with on-site training activities conducted directly at enterprises.
- In the area of comprehensive consulting support for SMEs, DUE will advise businesses on internal management, human resources, finance, production and market development. In particular, DUE will focus on micro-enterprises led by women, demonstrating its pioneering role in promoting gender equality, supporting sustainable livelihoods and strengthening women’s economic capacity.
With more than 50 years of establishment and development, DUE possesses a highly qualified academic staff closely connected to business practice, particularly in emerging fields shaping current trends such as digital transformation, entrepreneurship, innovation and management in the digital economy.
At the same time, DUE continues to expand its network of strategic partnerships with the business community. In the first quarter of 2026, the University signed a series of important cooperation agreements with major business organizations and associations, further building a closely connected ecosystem linking education, research and enterprise.
Notably, on March 17, 2026, DUE partnered with the Da Nang Young Entrepreneurs Association to promote entrepreneurship and innovation activities; on March 21, 2026, the University signed an agreement with the Da Nang Road Freight Transport Association to align training with workforce demands in the logistics and transportation sectors; and on March 24, 2026, DUE established cooperation with the Vietnam Blockchain Association and Digital Assets Association, expanding its training orientation in digital finance and emerging technologies.
DUE’s active participation in the national SME support program for 2026 continues to affirm the strategic direction of the University of Economics - The University of Danang: not only as an educational institution, but also as a center of knowledge, innovation and business partnership in the pursuit of sustainable development and international integration.
