On the morning of March 16, 2026, the University of Economics - The University of Danang and the Vietnam E-commerce Association (VECOM) officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and awarded scholarships under the “Wings to the Future” program for students. The event marks a significant milestone in aligning academic training with the practical demands of the digital economy.

Mr. Tran Van Trong, Secretary General of the Vietnam E-commerce Association, emphasized that amid the rapid growth of the digital economy and e-commerce, the demand for human resources with strong professional knowledge, digital skills, and adaptability to new business environments is increasingly critical. The partnership between the University of Economics and VECOM will strengthen the linkage between the education system and the business community, jointly contributing to the development of high-quality human resources for Vietnam’s e-commerce sector.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doan Ngoc Phi Anh, Vice Rector of the University, highlighted that cooperation with VECOM will promote training, research, and knowledge transfer in the field of e-commerce, while providing students with early access to real-world working environments in the digital economy.

Under the cooperation agreement, both parties will enhance comprehensive coordination, leveraging their respective strengths to develop high-quality human resources for the digital economy, including:
- Developing, reviewing, and implementing academic programs; organizing seminars, academic forums, short-term training courses, and scholarly activities; and inviting VECOM experts to participate in teaching and sharing practical experience with students.
- Conducting scientific research, entrepreneurship, and innovation activities; implementing research projects, economic forums, and academic competitions for students.
- Collaborating in human resource development by organizing training, professional development programs, and certification courses tailored to the needs of both parties.
- Facilitating student participation in field trips, internships, and practical visits; prioritizing recruitment of students and alumni; and co-organizing job fairs and recruitment activities at the University.
- Implementing scholarship programs to support high-achieving students or those in difficult circumstances.
- Strengthening communication and corporate social responsibility initiatives; jointly organizing community engagement programs, social service activities, and communication efforts across both parties’ platforms.
Within the framework of the program, the Vietnam E-commerce Association awarded five “Wings to the Future” scholarships with a total value of VND 40 million. Each scholarship includes VND 3 million in cash along with a training course and learning support software valued at VND 5 million. The scholarships are granted to students with strong academic performance, active participation in social and volunteer activities, and outstanding achievements in scientific research. This practical support serves as an important source of encouragement, motivating students to continue striving in their studies and personal development.
