International Cooperation Agreement Signed between the University of Economics and the University of Palermo (Italy)

On the morning of January 23, 2026, the University of Economics – The University of Danang (DUE) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the University of Palermo (Italy), marking a new milestone in its strategy to expand international partnerships and promote scientific research and academic exchange.

The signing ceremony was attended by Prof. Carmine Bianchi and his delegation representing the University of Palermo. Representing the University of Economics were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doan Ngoc Phi Anh, Vice President of the University, along with leaders from the Office of Science and International Cooperation, the Office of Academic Affairs, and the Faculty of Finance.

At the event, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doan Ngoc Phi Anh emphasized that the signing of the MoU with the University of Palermo reflects the University of Economics’ strong commitment to its education internationalization strategy, while laying a sustainable foundation for cooperation in scientific research, academic exchange, and the development of international competencies for faculty members and students of both institutions.

Under the terms of the Memorandum of Understanding, the two institutions agreed to implement key cooperative activities, including the development of joint research projects in research and education; exchanges of faculty members, researchers, and students for teaching, research, and participation in international workshops and conferences; as well as collaboration in scientific publications, sharing academic resources, and research experience.

The University of Palermo is one of Italy’s most prestigious universities, with a long-standing history and strong reputation in Italy and across Europe. The signing of this cooperation agreement further affirms the University of Economics’ education internationalization strategy, while opening up numerous opportunities for learning, research, and the development of international capacity for its faculty and students.

In the coming period, both sides will work closely to develop specific implementation plans to gradually realize the agreed areas of cooperation, contributing to improvements in training quality and scientific research, and meeting the requirements of international integration in higher education.

Following the signing ceremony, representatives of the two universities held further discussions on future cooperation directions, focusing on identifying priority areas and feasible activities that can be implemented in the short and medium term. These discussions aimed to concretize the commitments outlined in the MoU, ensuring practicality, effectiveness, and sustainability in the partnership between the two institutions.
