Doctoral Orientation Seminar and Academic Networking with the University of Architecture Da Nang

On January 13, 2026, the University of Economics - University of Danang (DUE) participated in a Doctoral Orientation Seminar for lecturers in the Economics and Tourism fields, hosted by the University of Architecture Da Nang, with the attendance of the University’s leadership and representatives from units offering doctoral training programs.

In his opening remarks, Dr. Architect Pham Anh Tuan, President of the University of Architecture Da Nang, emphasized the critical role of doctoral education in enhancing research capacity, fostering academic thinking, and standardizing faculty qualifications in the context of higher education reform. He also expressed the University’s desire to strengthen connections with universities in the region to share resources and expand training opportunities for lecturers, particularly in the fields of economics, management, and tourism - services.

Representing the University of Economics - University of Danang, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doan Ngoc Phi Anh, Vice President of the University, shared DUE’s orientation in developing an integrated training-research ecosystem, with a strong focus on expanding academic collaboration and creating opportunities for doctoral candidates to participate in applied research projects, international academic conferences, and academic exchange programs. The Vice President highly appreciated the initiative of organizing the seminar by the University of Architecture Da Nang and affirmed DUE’s readiness to accompany partner institutions in training high-level research-oriented faculty in the region.

At the seminar, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Thieu Quang, Deputy Head of the Training Office of DUE, presented an overview of the doctoral programs currently offered at DUE, including training objectives, program structure, academic requirements, and learning outcomes. In addition, DUE representatives shared practical experience in selecting dissertation topics, designing research roadmaps, academic support mechanisms, as well as common challenges faced by doctoral candidates during their study and dissertation completion.

The seminar provided an opportunity for both institutions to strengthen academic networking, share orientations for doctoral training, and exchange experiences in consulting, organizing, and implementing postgraduate education activities. At the same time, it opened up prospects for long-term cooperation in developing high-quality human resources.

Beyond a professional exchange forum, the program also contributed to expanding the academic environment, strengthening professional resources, and promoting faculty development, meeting the growing demands for improving training quality and scientific research capacity of higher education institutions in the new development phase.
