18/12/2025

On the morning of December 18, 2025, the International Conference on Climate Change 2025 (VSCT-2025) was held at the University of Economics – University of Da Nang. The conference was co-organized by the University in collaboration with the Association of Vietnamese Scientists and Experts Global (AVSE Global) and Massey University (New Zealand).

In her opening remarks, Prof. Dr. Vo Thi Thuy Anh - Party Secretary and Chairwoman of the University Council, emphasized: “We are committed to promoting interdisciplinary research, encouraging international collaboration, and creating a space where scholars and practitioners can engage in constructive dialogue on climate-related economic and financial challenges. The organization of VSCT-2025 reflects this commitment and our belief that universities must play an active role in shaping solutions for society. Well-designed financial frameworks and institutions can mobilize resources, guide investment, and support innovation. Therefore, the discussions taking place at this conference, particularly those related to green finance and the role of international financial centers, are both timely and highly relevant".

Discussions focused on the role of financial systems, regulatory frameworks, and innovative instruments in promoting sustainable growth and climate transition, while also offering practical policy recommendations for Vietnam and the region.
