Honors Ceremony & Cultural Program Welcoming New Students of 2025

On the evening of October 10, 2025, the Honors Ceremony & Cultural Program Welcoming New Students of 2025 was officially held at the University of Economics - University of Da Nang. This annual event holds special significance, welcoming the 51K cohort of new students to the DUE family, while also honoring students with outstanding academic achievements, personal development, and contributions in the past academic year.
Dr. Huynh Thi Hong Hanh, Vice-Rector of the University, extended the warmest welcome to the 2025 intake, the 51st generation of students at DUE. She emphasized: “You have worked hard to officially become members of the DUE family, where you will explore yourselves, develop your abilities, and pursue your dreams".

At the ceremony, the University honored and awarded three top students with a total prize value estimated at 585 million VND:
Nguyen Van Vinh, class 51K14, Management Information Systems, top student of the standard program. Prize: 30 million VND in cash and a Talent Scholarship covering 110% of tuition fees for the entire course, valued at approximately 165 million VND.
Tran Khanh Vy, class 51K23-P, Hotel Management, top student of the partial English-taught program. Prize: 30 million VND in cash and a Talent Scholarship covering 110% of tuition fees, valued at approximately 195 million VND.
Huynh Minh Khanh, class 51K01.2-E, International Business, top student of the full English-taught program. Prize: 30 million VND in cash and a Talent Scholarship covering 110% of tuition fees, valued at approximately 225 million VND.
Associate Professor Dr. Le Van Huy, Rector of the University, and Associate Professor Dr. Vo Thi Thuy Anh, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chair of the University Council, presented awards to the top students.
To encourage and support new students in their academic journey, the University awarded 54 DUE Talent Scholarships to students with the highest admission scores across three admission methods, with a total value estimated at 9.51 billion VND.

Certificates of Merit from the Director of the University of Da Nang were awarded to 8 students and outstanding student groups for the 2024-2025 academic year, with each group receiving a 5 million VND prize from the University Rector.

Certificates of Merit from the Rector of the University of Economics were awarded to 19 students with the highest academic and personal development achievements in their respective majors for the 2024-2025 academic year, each receiving a 3 million VND prize alongside the certificate.

PVcomBank awarded two “Lighting Up Faith” scholarships, each valued at 120 million VND, as a meaningful gesture to motivate students facing difficult circumstances yet striving in their studies and lives.

To inspire and promote the spirit of “No one is left behind,” the University’s leadership awarded 10 DUE Scholarships, each worth 10 million VND, as a warm and practical encouragement for students overcoming adversity to pursue knowledge.

Amid the joy of the Honors Ceremony and welcoming the 51K cohort a new generation full of aspirations - the University also turned its attention to supporting communities suffering from the devastating losses caused by natural disasters and floods.
Joining hands to support flood-affected communities
In response to the severe consequences of consecutive storms and floods across the country, the University of Economics organized a fundraising activity to support affected communities during the event. The contributions from attendees created a significant resource to aid those in need, serving as a gesture of solidarity and encouragement to help them overcome difficulties, stabilize their lives, and rebuild after the disasters.
The atmosphere of the event was further electrified with vibrant performances embodying the spirit of youth, where passion, enthusiasm, and confidence converged on stage.
