Opening of the Official External Assessment Survey for Two Undergraduate and Six Master’s Degree Programs at the University of Economics

On the morning of October 8, 2025, the University of Economics - University of Da Nang, in collaboration with the Thang Long Center for Education Quality Accreditation, held the opening ceremony for the official external assessment survey of two undergraduate programs (Accounting and Business Administration) and six master’s degree programs (Accounting, Development Economics, Economic Management, Business Administration, Finance - Banking, and Economic Statistics) at the University of Economics.
The event was attended by representatives from the Thang Long Center for Education Quality Accreditation (TCEA), including Dr. Nguyen Van Duong, Director of the Center and Secretary of the External Assessment Team, and Associate Professor Dr. Le Thi Tuyet, Accreditation Officer and Permanent Member of the External Assessment Team. The External Assessment Team was led by Associate Professor Dr. Le Van Hao, Head of the Academic Excellence Department at Eastern International University, along with other team members. Representing the University of Economics - University of Da Nang were Associate Professor Dr. Vo Thi Thuy Anh, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chair of the University Council; Associate Professor Dr. Le Van Huy, Rector; Dr. Huynh Thi Hong Hanh, Vice-Rector and Chair of the University’s Labor Union; Associate Professor Dr. Doan Ngoc Phi Anh, Vice-Rector, along with representatives from various departments and centers of the University.
Associate Professor Dr. Vo Thi Thuy Anh and Associate Professor Dr. Le Van Huy presented flowers to express gratitude and congratulations to the Center and members of the External Assessment Team for their support.
Currently, the University of Economics - University of Da Nang has nearly 500 staff members, over 15,000 students, 19 undergraduate programs, 8 master’s programs, and 4 doctoral programs, making it one of the leading universities in training and research in economics, business, and management. It is also one of more than 20 universities nationwide implementing university autonomy. The University has developed new interdisciplinary and technology-integrated programs to meet the demands of society in the digital transformation era, such as Financial Technology, E-Commerce, Data Science, Digital Marketing, and Digital Business. Additionally, specialized programs, including an Auditing program integrated with the international ACCA curriculum, and programs with 100% or 50% of courses taught in English, have been developed to facilitate graduates’ international integration.
Building a culture of quality assurance and accreditation for both the institution and its programs has always been a key objective that the University of Economics has steadfastly pursued. Through regular quality assessment and improvement activities, the University successfully completed the second cycle of institutional accreditation in 2021. To date, 12 programs have met AUN-QA standards, and 6 undergraduate programs have achieved the standards set by Circular 04 of the Ministry of Education and Training.

Associate Professor Dr. Le Van Huy, Rector of the University, delivered a welcoming speech, expressing gratitude to the Thang Long Center for Education Quality Accreditation for assigning reputable experts to the assessment. He emphasized that, with a scientific, rigorous, and objective approach, the External Assessment Team would provide accurate evaluations and valuable recommendations to support the University’s future development.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong Tra, from the Thang Long Center for Education Quality Accreditation and Supervisor of the Assessment Team, affirmed that the team would work with accuracy, integrity, and objectivity to provide standardized evaluations and practical recommendations to enhance the quality of the University’s training programs.

Dr. Phan Hoang Long, Head of the Quality Management Department, presented an overview of the University, its training programs, and the self-assessment process on behalf of the programs under review.
The official survey will take place from October 8, 2025, to October 11, 2025, covering two undergraduate programs (Accounting and Business Administration) and six master’s degree programs (Accounting, Development Economics, Economic Management, Business Administration, Finance - Banking, and Economic Statistics) at the University of Economics - University of Da Nang.
During this period, the External Assessment Team will review evidence documents, conduct interviews with relevant stakeholders, and inspect the University’s facilities to verify the information and data provided in the self-assessment report. This process will lead to recommendations to help the University improve and enhance the quality of its education and training programs.
