During the conference, Ms. Ho Long Ngoc, Deputy Head of the Science and International Cooperation Department, presented the Report on International Cooperation Activities for the 2024-2025 academic year, highlighting significant achievements across various aspects:

Legal Framework and Governance Mechanisms: UD has progressively refined its management regulations, decentralization policies, and guidelines, establishing a unified legal framework for international cooperation activities across the university.

Deepening International Cooperation: The network of partners has expanded, with effective implementation of signed cooperation agreements. Numerous joint training programs and student-faculty exchange initiatives have been stably maintained. Notably, student exchange programs have shifted to a two-way model, not only welcoming international students but also sending UD students to participate in study programs, internships, summer camps, and international scholarships, enhancing foreign language proficiency, global skills, and academic experiences.

Increased Academic and Research Activities: The number of international conferences, collaborative projects, scholarships, and international faculty has risen. Many activities have aligned with local and regional development strategies.

Elevating Reputation and Status: UD’s international rankings have continued to improve, with the internationalization criterion achieving high rankings, affirming the university’s role and influence within Vietnam’s higher education system.

Despite these achievements, the report also highlighted limitations that need addressing. Although UD has significant potential, international cooperation faces challenges in three areas: administrative procedures, funding, and human resources. Cooperation activities are not yet uniform across units, and international research and training collaborations have room for further development.
