In his opening remarks, Prof. Dr. To Trung Thanh from the National Economics University stated: “Through the presentations and discussions at this seminar, we aim to establish a clear theoretical framework, identify the primary channels through which the digital economy impacts productivity, and derive relevant international lessons to propose feasible and effective policy solutions for Vietnam”.

Evaluating the DE’s impact on economic productivity in the current context will enable Vietnam to better identify new drivers for enhancing productivity through the DE. This will support the formulation of strategies, perspectives, and a comprehensive set of solutions to harness the DE’s positive effects, driving productivity growth through 2030. These efforts align with Vietnam’s Socio-Economic Development Strategy 2021-2030; The National Strategy for Digital Economy and Society Development to 2025, with a vision to 2030; and the National Program on Labor Productivity Improvement through 2030.
