Commemoration Program for the 94th Anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and “Homecoming Day” for Former Youth Union Officials

On the afternoon of March 25, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the University of Economics – the University of Danang solemnly organized a program to commemorate the 94th anniversary of the establishment of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 – March 26, 2025) and the Homecoming Day for former Youth Union officials. The program served as an occasion to review the glorious traditions of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union while expressing gratitude to generations of Youth Union officials who have contributed to the development of the University Youth Union and the youth movement at the University of Economics.

The program was attended by Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Manh Toan – Vice Director of the University of Danang, former Secretary of the University Youth Union for the 1996-1998 term; MSc. Nguyen Van Han – Head of the Planning and Finance Department, University of Danang, former Secretary of the University Youth Union for the 1998-2001 term. From the University of Economics, Associate Professor Dr. Vo Thi Thuy Anh – Party Secretary, Chairwoman of the University Council, Associate Professor Dr. Le Van Huy – Rector, Dr. Huynh Thi Hong Hanh – Vice Rector, Chairwoman of the University Trade Union, Associate Professor Dr. Doan Ngoc Phi Anh – Vice Rector, along with representatives from various faculties, departments, centers, organizations, former Youth Union officials, and a large number of current Youth Union members of the University of Economics were in attendance.

The program revisited the establishment and development process of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, highlighting its significant role in training and fostering young generations. Attendees also reflected on the development journey of the University Youth Union, marking important milestones and notable achievements.

In her speech at the event, Associate Professor Dr. Vo Thi Thuy Anh praised the efforts and enthusiasm of the University of Economics’ youth over the years. The university leadership expressed trust and high expectations that the university’s Youth Union members would continue to uphold the fine traditions of the Youth Union, implement meaningful and practical activities in celebration of the university’s 50th anniversary, and contribute to the outstanding achievements of both the University Youth Union and the University of Economics.
