Closing Ceremony of the 2025 Staff and Employee Soft Volleyball Tournament

On the afternoon of March 23, the 2025 Staff and Employee Soft Volleyball Tournament of the University of Economics - University of Danang officially concluded. The tournament was held to celebrate the 9th Party Congress and commemorate the 50th anniversary of the university’s founding. The closing ceremony was honored by the presence of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Huu Phuc, Chairman of the Trade Union of the University of Danang. Representing DUE were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Van Huy, Rector of the University; Dr. Huynh Thi Hong Hanh, Vice Rector and Chairwoman of the University Trade Union; M.A. Nguyen Van Long, Vice Chairman of the University Trade Union, along with numerous athletes from various departmental trade unions.

In her closing remarks, Dr. Huynh Thi Hong Hanh highly appreciated the efforts of the participating athletes. She also praised the professionalism of the teams, from their well-prepared uniforms to their sportsmanship, which contributed to the overall success of the tournament.

The final day of competition (March 23) featured two thrilling and intense matches: The Trade Union of the Administration and Organization Office claimed victory over the Trade Union of the Faculty of Political Theory with a 2-0 score; The Trade Union of the Faculty of Accounting secured a 2-1 win against the Allied Team 1 (comprising members from Student Affairs, the Library, and Finance).

After more than 15 days of exciting competition, the tournament organizers identified the best-performing teams:
- Champion: Trade Union of the Administration and Organization Office
- Runner-up: Trade Union of the Faculty of Political Theory

- Third Place: Trade Union of the Faculty of Accounting
- Consolation Prize: Allied Team 1 (Student Affairs - Library - Finance)

The championship title goes to the Trade Union of the Administration and Organization Office

Additionally, the Organizing Committee presented special awards, including Best Uniform Design and Sportsmanship Awards, to recognize the outstanding teams and athletes.

The 2025 Staff and Employee Soft Volleyball Tournament was a meaningful sports event that fostered stronger unity among the university's trade unions while promoting a healthy and active lifestyle among faculty and staff. The tournament also served as a sporting initiative in support of the 9th Party Congress and the upcoming 50th-anniversary celebration of DUE.
