Exciting VC-NLĐ Volleyball Tournament Welcomes the Party Congress and Celebrates the University's 50th Anniversary

On the afternoon of March 8, at the Multi-Purpose Sports Hall of the University of Economics, the Volleyball Tournament for faculty members and staff officially commenced. This is a significant sports event organized by the Trade Union of the University of Economics to celebrate the 9th Party Congress of the University and the 50th anniversary of its establishment.

The Tournament Attracts a Large Number of Faculty Members and Staff

The opening ceremony was attended by Mr. Phan Kim Tuan, M.A. - Vice Chairman of the Trade Union of the University of Danang. On behalf of the University of Economics, the event welcomed Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doan Ngoc Phi Anh – Vice Rector, Dr. Huynh Thi Hong Hanh - Vice Rector and Chairwoman of the University’s Trade Union, as well as representatives from departmental trade unions and a large number of faculty and staff members. The tournament gathered 14 teams with nearly 150 participants from 21 trade union divisions.

Right after the opening ceremony, the matches took place in an exciting atmosphere, showcasing thrilling plays and receiving enthusiastic cheers from the audience.

Mr. Nguyen Van Long, M.A. - Vice Chairman of the University Trade Union and Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee, encouraged the athletes to compete wholeheartedly, demonstrate team spirit, and deliver outstanding performances, contributing to the tournament’s success.

With the strong support of the university’s trade union, this year’s tournament saw well-prepared teams with high-quality equipment and new uniforms that reflect DUE’s brand identity while promoting meaningful messages. Through their participation, athletes have spread the spirit of unity, physical training, and the vision of a green and digitally transformative university.

The tournament is not only a platform for physical exercise but also an opportunity for faculty and staff to connect, exchange experiences, and strengthen solidarity. Exciting matches lie ahead, promising dynamic and emotional moments for all participants. The tournament will run until March 23, 2025.
