Official Closing of the External Evaluation Survey for Four Training Programs: Law, Tourism and Hospitality Management, Economic Statistics, and E-Commerce

After five days of urgent, serious, and effective work, on the afternoon of December 24, the University of Economics - The University of Danang organized the Closing Ceremony of the Official External Evaluation Survey for four training programs: Law, Tourism and Hospitality Management, Economic Statistics, and E-Commerce.
The Closing Ceremony was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dinh Van Toan, Deputy Director of the Center for Educational Quality Accreditation – Vietnam National University, Hanoi, and a permanent member of the External Evaluation Team. The External Evaluation Team included: Prof. Dr. Mai Trong Nhuan, Chairman of the Quality Assurance Council, Team Leader; the team secretary, and team members. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ta Thi Thu Hien, Director of the Center for Educational Quality Accreditation – Vietnam National University, Hanoi, also attended online.
On the side of the University of Economics, participants included Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vo Thi Thuy Anh, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairwoman of the University Council; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Van Huy, Rector of the University; the School Board; representatives of leaders of departments, centers; leaders of the Faculty of Law, Faculty of E-Commerce, Faculty of Tourism, Faculty of Statistics – Informatics, and university staff and employees.
With professional working methods, a spirit of seriousness, responsibility, dedication, and objectivity, from December 20 to December 24, 2024, the External Evaluation Team completed the entire program of quality assessment surveys for the four training programs: Law, Tourism and Hospitality Management, Economic Statistics, and E-Commerce of the University of Economics - The University of Danang. The team reviewed the self-assessment report, verified the evidence provided by the university, worked directly with the school leadership, leaders, and specialists of functional units, leaders of the Faculty of Law, Faculty of E-Commerce, Faculty of Tourism, Faculty of Statistics – Informatics, and specialized groups of the Self-Evaluation Council; conducted interviews with six groups of stakeholders; visited and surveyed the university's facilities, including working rooms, classrooms, practice rooms, libraries, sports areas, dormitories...
Based on the study of the self-assessment report and on-site survey activities at the university, the External Evaluation Team provided scientific and accurate assessments of strengths as well as proposed practical recommendations for improving the quality of the four training programs: Law, Tourism and Hospitality Management, Economic Statistics, and E-Commerce.
The External Evaluation Team presented a preliminary report on the results of the official survey.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Van Huy – Rector of the University emphasized: With a spirit of openness, the university seriously absorbs all the comments, evaluations, and recommendations of the team on areas and activities that need improvement to better meet the requirements of the standards and criteria for evaluating training program quality. All staff, employees, and students of the university are deeply aware that quality assurance has no end point, no moment of completion, but is a regular and continuous requirement. In each stage, it is necessary to constantly improve to be more suitable to the development trend of society, better meeting the needs of the labor market.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Van Huy stated that quality accreditation of training programs is an important motivation for the university to further improve all aspects of its activities.
Dr. Vo Thi Quynh Nga - Dean of the Faculty of Tourism, representing the four faculties with training programs being evaluated, expressed gratitude to the External Evaluation Team.
Speaking at the Closing Ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dinh Van Toan hoped that the responsible and professional comments and recommendations of the team members would serve as a basis for the university and faculties to summarize, review, and examine all activities systematically, develop action plans, and allocate sufficient resources to immediately address limitations with the highest efforts, demonstrating strong determination in implementing commitments to the quality of the university and each training program.

At the conclusion of the program, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dinh Van Toan, Prof. Dr. Mai Trong Nhuan - Team Leader, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Van Huy, Rector of the University, signed the Minutes of Completion for the Official Survey of Four Training Programs: Law, Tourism and Hospitality Management, Economic Statistics, and E-Commerce.
Expressions of gratitude were conveyed to the External Evaluation Team.
