On the afternoon of October 30, the Trade Union of the University of Economics organized the summary of the "Exemplary and creative educators" movement for the 2023 - 2024 academic year and launched the movement for the 2024 - 2025 academic year. The program aimed to evaluate the achieved results, the positive effects, and the spread of the movement; identify solutions to overcome limitations; and draw lessons to make next year’s movement more effective, relevant, and sustainable.

Speaking at the ceremony, the President of the Trade Union and Vice-Rector of the University, Huynh Thi Hong Hanh, acknowledged the achievements of the educators, which are not only a source of pride for the university but also serve as motivation for future generations of students to follow in their footsteps and develop. The movement will continue to be maintained and promoted to contribute to building a creative and high-quality educational environment.

The summary ceremony recognized and encouraged 14 units that participated in writing articles about exemplary educators published on the Trade Union website: the Trade Union of the Faculty of Tourism, the Faculty of Accounting, the Faculty of Economics, the Faculty of International Business, the Faculty of Political Theory, the Faculty of Marketing, the Faculty of Banking, the Faculty of Finance, the Faculty of Statistics and Information Technology, the Trade Union of Student Affairs, the Facilities & Legal Inspection Department, the Quality Assurance and Information Technology Department, the International Training Department, and the Library.

At the same time, 04 units with significant contributions and excellent achievements in implementing the “Exemplary and creative educators” movement for the 2023 - 2024 academic year were awarded: the Trade Union of the Faculty of Tourism, the Faculty of Political Theory, the Quality Assurance and Information Technology Department, and the International Training Department.

Rewarding 04 collectives with many contributions and outstanding achievements in implementing the "Exemplary and creative educators" movement in the 2023 - 2024 school year

The 2023 - 2024 academic year was the first year that the Danang University Trade Union launched the “Exemplary and creative educators” movement, marking the 30th anniversary of the establishment of Danang University. In response to the movement, the Trade Union Executive Committee of the University of Economics developed a plan and launched the movement to all staff, employees, and students at the university with many meaningful and practical activities.

The Trade Union encouraged and motivated departments to participate in writing articles for the "Exemplary educators" section on the university's website. The section featured more than 20 insightful articles created by the university's communication department and various departmental trade unions, showcasing the dedication and passion for scientific research of the university’s teachers. The effectiveness of this section helped spread the role model of the university’s educators and educated union members and students about the tradition of respecting teachers in the national culture.

In addition to publishing articles about exemplary educators, the Trade Union also collaborated with the university’s Youth Union to organize the video design contest “Teachers in my eyes” during April and May 2024. This was a meaningful activity within the "Exemplary and creative educators" movement on a university-wide scale, creating a broad and deep effect throughout all staff, employees, and students. The contest received 11 videos from 11 departments and the International Training Center, introducing role model educators in teaching, scientific research, and supporting student activities, while also sharing students’ feelings about their beloved teachers.

Many videos were created with innovative ideas, well-structured scripts, and beautiful shots of teachers in the classroom and on campus. Several videos were truly moving, highlighting the heartfelt appreciation and gratitude students feel for their teachers. The contest gained widespread attention on the university’s electronic portal, the Youth Union’s Fanpage, the university’s Trade Union Fanpage, and garnered over 3,000 interactions.

After a year of launching the movement, many educators and staff from all units of the university were honored, and their stories, along with authentic and vivid images, have left a deep impression. These stories conveyed the enthusiasm, love for the profession, and dedication of the educators, inspiring young faculty members and students.

The summary of the “Exemplary and creative educators” movement for the 2023 - 2024 academic year was successfully held, concluding a meaningful year and opening up expectations for a new academic year with many creative contributions from dedicated faculty members, aimed at improving the quality of education at the University of Economics - University of Danang.
