Promoting Foreign Exchange Activities, Expanding International Study Opportunities for DUE Students

On the afternoon of October 29, the University of Economics - University of Danang held a working session with a delegation of staff and faculty from the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUST). Welcoming the delegation were representatives including the Vice Rector, Doan Ngoc Phi Anh, along with leaders from the Faculty of Business Administration, the Department of Science and International Cooperation, as well as lecturers and students.

During the session, Doan Ngoc Phi Anh extended a warm welcome to NTUST and provided an overview of the University of Danang's system, the academic programs offered by the University of Economics, and expressed appreciation to NTUST for visiting and sharing information on study opportunities and scholarships available to DUE students.

Within the scope of the meeting, the University of Economics - University of Danang and NTUST proposed a plan to sign a cooperation agreement focused on training, faculty, and student exchanges, and organizing a scientific conference in 2025, including the COMB Conference.

Doan Ngoc Phi Anh emphasized that two key objectives for DUE are to continue the internationalization of the learning environment and to expand international partnerships, thereby attracting more international students to study at the university. To realize these objectives, both sides discussed various cooperation models, including a 2+2 program for undergraduates, 1+1 for Master's, and 1+4 for PhD students, along with short-term exchange programs ranging from one to two semesters, ensuring mutual credit recognition between the two institutions.

The meeting also opened up opportunities for research collaboration between DUE and NTUST in international projects, contributing to enhancing research quality and organizing prestigious conferences, particularly ICOAF and COMB hosted by DUE.

Concluding the session, NTUST introduced a range of scholarship opportunities available to DUE students, providing them with access to advanced education and comprehensive development. The working session not only marked a new step in the partnership between the two universities but also brought positive prospects for DUE students and faculty in their journey toward international integration.
