In the 2023-2024 academic year, the university achieved many proud milestones. The training efforts yielded new successes, including the development and implementation of innovative teaching methods, the application of advanced technology, and the enhancement of international-standard training programs. The faculty consistently improved their expertise, always remaining dedicated, creative, and enthusiastic in their teaching. Thanks to these efforts, the university's graduate employment rate is very high, with many alumni holding important positions in major organizations both domestically and globally. This is clear evidence that DUE is not only a place to impart knowledge but also an environment for developing character, creative thinking, and community responsibility. Each passing day brings us closer to the goal of making DUE a leading center for education and research in the region and globally.
The 2023-2024 academic year also posed challenges in student recruitment due to changes in enrollment processes across various levels. However, with the collective efforts and wisdom of the entire faculty and staff, the University of Economics successfully met its recruitment targets, attracting numerous candidates with strong academic and language skills. With high and evenly distributed admission quality across all disciplines, the University of Economics remains one of the top institutions in terms of the number of applicants and highest entry scores in the Central Highlands region and across the nation.
In terms of educational quality assurance, the 2023-2024 academic year saw four more programs receive international accreditation, and two were accredited domestically, bringing the university's total of nationally and internationally accredited programs to 14, representing 85% of the total. This positions DUE as one of the universities with the highest number of internationally accredited programs in the country.
Research, international cooperation, business relations, and startup innovation activities made significant strides. Financial planning was well-managed, infrastructure was upgraded, and the activities of the school's organizations achieved remarkable results, improving the welfare of faculty and staff. Democratic principles continued to be upheld in all school operations, and the decentralization of management to faculties led to substantial progress.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Van Huy congratulated all new students of the 50K intake who were admitted to DUE. "Today, you officially begin a new chapter, a journey where you will not only learn knowledge but also need to train yourselves and overcome challenges to grow. Becoming a student at DUE is not only a source of pride but also a significant responsibility. I believe that, with the support of your teachers, friends, and family, you will gradually assert yourselves and continue writing the glorious history of this beloved institution."
"Do not fear the challenges ahead, as they are opportunities for you to showcase your abilities and talents. Always hold on to your dreams, nurture your passion, and remain steadfast in your goals. Remember that the path to success is not always lined with roses but includes difficulties that will make you stronger and more resilient with each step," the President emphasized.
