On the afternoon of July 15, the University of Economics - University of Da Nang organized a visit to support and motivate the volunteers participating in the Green Summer Campaign 2024 in Hoa Phu commune, Hoa Vang district, Da Nang city. Leading the delegation was Dr. Huynh Thi Hong Hanh, Vice-Rector of the university, along with leaders of faculties, departments, centers, and lecturers.
Reporting on the status of this year's Green Summer campaign, Dr. Tran Xuan Quynh, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the university, stated that in the past week since the campaign was launched, the university's Youth Union has implemented many meaningful activities at the site. These include developing a brand identity for local products, a tourism fan page for Hoa Phu commune, and key products such as four solar-powered light poles, and renovation of restrooms and cultural houses. They also organized effective training and civic activities with practical significance such as legal propaganda, guidance on using computers and technology software for residents, and skills for preventing drowning accidents for students. Cultural, artistic, and sports activities were also held for children during the summer. All activities were carried out by the youth members according to the schedule, meeting the required quality, and leaving many beautiful images in the hearts of the local people.

During the visit to encourage the Green Summer volunteers, Dr. Huynh Thi Hong Hanh highly appreciated the efforts of the youth members in this campaign. Overcoming weather difficulties, the youth members demonstrated the spirit of "Pioneering - Creativity - Innovation" to support the local community, particularly by leveraging the strengths of economics students to enhance the image of Hoa Phu commune, contributing to local tourism development. On behalf of the university's staff and lecturers, Dr. Huynh Thi Hong Hanh extended her best wishes for health and expressed hope that this would be a memorable summer for the youth members throughout their upcoming journey.

The volunteer student group also presented local products developed in cooperation with the residents during this campaign. The Green Summer 2024 student volunteer campaign will conclude on July 17, 2024.
