Completing the Ph.D. program in Computational Mathematics at the Institute of Mathematics - National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, despite receiving many invitations to work, Dr. Le Minh Hieu (35 years old) is still determined to return to Vietnam to devote himself to the country.

In 2018, Mr. Le Minh Hieu completed a Ph.D. program in Computational Mathematics at the Institute of Mathematics - National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and was assigned to teach econometrics at the Faculty of Economics (University Economics - University of Danang). Talking about his decision to reject many invitations to stay and work in a foreign country, he replied softly: “I am determined to return to my hometown to work. Therefore, when I finish studying, I will go home immediately." Looking at Mr. Hieu's collection of scientific research achievements, everyone has to admire.

Dr. Hieu is currently the author of dozens of scientific research articles published in international journals under the list of ISI/Scopus. In addition, he is also the author of many articles in other prestigious scientific journals. In the first 6 months of 2021 alone, he has 5 articles published in journals under the ISI/Scopus category. The ISI/Scopus directory includes prestigious scientific journals in the world. ISI is a collection of about 10,000 high-quality scientific journals, out of a total of millions of general journals worldwide. Scopus contains ten million abstracts, of which more than 30,000 are peer-reviewed journals in the sciences, engineering, health, society, arts, and humanities. According to an experienced researcher in the field of economics, getting an article published in a journal in the ISI category is not easy. The paper must have high scientific content and contribute to the academic basis and policy implications. Dr. Le Minh Hieu said that to have an article in international journals, the most important thing is the idea. Sometimes it takes writers months to come up with an idea. After having an idea, he discussed it with a teacher at the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and was supported and encouraged by the teacher. Not only has many scientific research articles, but Mr. Hieu also created a Blog to share and guide the students of the next course in Mathematics. A Blog is a place for him to interact with his students, share materials and give lectures on Math... According to Dr. Le Minh Hieu, to be successful, you must have passion. For him, from a young age, Mathematics is a fascinating space to explore. In addition to passion, he said that he also has to read a lot of documents to learn from other authors to collect and improve knowledge.

With passion and unremitting efforts, he achieved remarkable achievements. In 2018 and 2021, he received the Certificate of Merit from the Chairman of Da Nang City People's Committee for having excellent scientific articles published in prestigious journals in the ISI list. He was rewarded for his Mathematical work in 2020 of the National Key Program for the Development of Mathematics for the period 2010-2020 and was rewarded for having articles published in prestigious international scientific journals in the list ISI, SCI, SCIE 2020 of the Ministry of Education and Training...

For many young Vietnamese, they have many ways, many paths to contribute. But for Hieu, he chose to return to Vietnam because he wanted to contribute to the development of his homeland.
