IMPROVING THE QUALITY OF NEWS ARTICLES ON THE WEB PORTAL

On the morning of March 30th, the Trade Union of University of Economics - the University of Danang held the Workshop "Guide to design news articles on University Web Portal" with the participation of representatives of departmental trade unions, staff and lecturers of the University. There was also the appearance of the representative of the Trade Union Executive Committee: MSc. Nguyen Van Long – Vice President of the University Trade Union.
During the workshop, speaker MSc. Nguyen Huu Hoang Sinh from Information Technology & Communication Center gave an overview of the features in the initiating and publishing tool on the University's web portal. At the practice session, the trade union members were involved in designing an actual news article on the website, processing sample images and videos when inputting them into the article. MSc. Nguyen Huu Hoang Sinh also introduced a number of design tools to improve image quality as well as ensure image size when users include images in specific news articles.

Staff and lecturers attending the workshop also raised some problems and difficulties when designing a basic news article and suggested many ideas to improve the quality of news articles on the University's web portal. The workshop is one activity in the series of the events operated by the University Trade Union in the plan of academic year 2020-2021 and is part of the project "Strengthening the application of information technology in the management and support of teaching activities, scientific research, contributing to the improvement of the quality of Education & Training in the 2016-2020 period, with a vision to 2025".
