This is a five-year initiative (2022-2026) by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) aimed at modernizing three leading Vietnamese universities: Vietnam National University, Hanoi; Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City; and the University of Da Nang. The project focuses on four main pillars: innovating governance, enhancing teaching and learning quality, strengthening research capacity, and fostering University-Enterprise connections. During the 2023-2024 academic year, the Office of Science Management and International Cooperation consulted with the University to nominate staff to participate in several key training programs and workshops, including: Training on Disseminating Excellent Teaching and Learning Methods (September-October 2023), a Technical Support Session on Research Ethics (March 22, 2024), a Workshop on Gender Equality and Women's Empowerment in Education (May 7, 2024), and the Integrated Training Program for Potential Lecturers (June-September 2024). The University also hosted working delegations such as the PHER Project Management Team from Indiana University (September 14-15, 2023) and a World Bank Task Team (December 1, 2023). Furthermore, the University received technical support activities regarding the staff performance evaluation system (KPIs) (April 5, 2024), along with funding support of 7,142 USD to enhance research capacity within the project's framework.
