University of Economics and National University of Taiwan (NCU) discuss about cooperation direction

On the afternoon of October 25, the delegation of the Central National Taiwan University (NCU) led by Professor Ping Yu - Head of the Faculty of Business Administration had a meeting and worked with the University of Economics on the directions of cooperation between the two universities. Receiving the delegation, there are Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Phuc Nguyen - Head of International Science and Cooperation, Dr. Dang Huu Man - Deputy Director of International Science and Cooperation and Assoc.Prof.Dr. Truong Hong Dinh - Deputy Head of Finance and Dr. Le Dien Tuan - E Commerce Trade.

At the meeting, the NCU representative introduced the school which is more than 100 years of age. NCU is one of the leading universities with 100-year history in Taiwan and well known in the world. NCU is a member of the Taiwanese University System (UST) along with Thanh Hoa University, Traffic University and Duong Minh Hien University with more than 12,000 students studying at NCU. The school has 8 faculties: free art, science, engineering, management, technical and computer science, earth science, Hakka science, and medical science and technology, along with some research centers including advanced industries. The National Central University is currently studying into four main areas: Environment and energy, complex systems and Plasma sciences, Optics and Opto-Electronics and Informatics in the field of learning, businesses and life.

A representative of the NCU proposed cooperation in which two schools can be implemented as training courses, two-degree training programs, postgraduate training and summer semester programs in Taiwan. Currently NCU has a number of sectors that suit the sectors that DUE is training: Human Resource Management, Information Systems, Economics, Finance, Accounting, International Business, ect.

The DUE welcomed the visit and work of the Representative of the National Central University and said that this would be the best opening of the cooperation between two schools. DUE also proposed a number of prospects for cooperation to continue to develop future cooperation relationships such as exchange of trainers, students, summer semester in Due, cooperate with international workshops, co-operation of scientific research,ect.

Representatives of the University of Economics and the National Central University discussed awarding scholarships to the Vietnamese students to Taiwan. In addition, the DUE also wants the NCU trainers to switch to Vietnam to organize the seminar, workshop and share scientific knowledge with the DUE lecturers and students. Two schools will continue to discuss and hope to have an integrated deal in the coming time.
