Building the cooperation with Indiana University of Pennsylvania (USA)

On the morning of July 6th, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Vo Thi Thuy Anh - Vice Rector of University of Economics - Danang University had a meeting and working session with Assoc. Prof. Henry Webb - The Collaboration Program Coordinator of the Indiana University of Pennsylvania in Vietnam (IUP). At the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Henry Webb briefly introduced the establishment history and scale of training at IUP. Accordingly, Indiana University of Pennsylvania School was established in 1875 with the current size of more than 12,000 students. IUP currently offers 132 bachelor's, 52 master's and 12 doctoral programs. IUP representatives hope to build a long-term partnership with the University of Economics, starting from the transfer and exchange program. Assoc. Henry Webb believes that a transfer program in a 2+2 or 3+1 format is suitable for the conditions of the two schools, or that UE-UD students can participate in summer and winter exchange courses to improve knowledge and experience the environment at IUP.

Referring to the student exchange program, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Vo Thi Thuy Anh said that this is a suitable program for UE-UD students, in addition, IUP students can also come to Vietnam and participate in a short course at the University of Economics. The two sides also discussed more about research cooperation programs in the fields of Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Law, International Business and Business Administration. In addition, UE - UD also introduced to IUP a summer school program lasting from 01 to 2 weeks and internship program in Vietnam from 1-3 months. The two schools will support each other to sign the cooperation minutes as soon as possible. This will be the basis for developing a future cooperation relationship between UE-UD and IUP.

On this occasion, Assoc. Prof. Dr,. Vo Thi Thuy Anh also invited representatives of IUP School to attend the 2nd International Education Conference, ICYREB 2017 Young Scientists Conference and Digital Marketing Workshop hosted by University of Economics, at the same time invited Assoc.
