Exchange Program with Faculty Members and Students from Holmesglen Institute, Australia

On the afternoon of April 23, at the University of Economics – The University of Danang (UE–UD), the Faculty of Tourism warmly welcomed a delegation of faculty members and students from Holmesglen Institute (Australia) as part of an international student exchange program.

The event provided a meaningful opportunity for both institutions to share academic knowledge, engage in cultural exchange, and explore potential collaboration in education and training in the Tourism and Hospitality fields.

In her opening remarks, Dr. Vo Thi Quynh Nga, Dean of the Faculty of Tourism, expressed her pleasure and sincere appreciation for the presence of the international delegation. She emphasized the importance of exchange activities in promoting mutual understanding, strengthening global connections, and enhancing the quality of education for tourism students.

Representing Holmesglen Institute, Mr. Andrew Carruthers, Lecturer in the Bachelor of Business program, delivered a speech highlighting the institute’s goals in international educational cooperation, particularly in the context of the globalization of the tourism industry.

One of the highlights of the program was the lively interactive games between students of UE–UD and the faculty members and students from Holmesglen Institute, Australia. With an open and friendly spirit, students quickly connected through engaging group activities, including physical challenges, cultural knowledge quizzes, and team-based interactive games.

The program became even more engaging with student presentations from both sides. Students from the Faculty of Tourism, UE–UD, delivered an inspiring presentation entitled “Hue – Da Nang – Hoi An: The Central Vietnam Heritage Route,” introducing the rich historical and cultural values of Central Vietnam.

In response, students from Holmesglen Institute presented “The Five Strategic Pillars of Tourism Development in Victoria,” offering a multidimensional perspective on sustainable tourism development strategies in Australia.

The exchange concluded in a warm and open atmosphere. The cultural stories, academic perspectives, and friendly smiles shared during the event are expected to mark a promising beginning for long-term cooperation between the Faculty of Tourism, University of Economics – The University of Danang, and Holmesglen Institute, Australia.
