    THE UNIVERSITY OF DANANGUNIVERSITY OF ECONOMICS

    University of Economics (DUE), located in Danang city, is a member of the University of Danang – one of the three regional universities in Vietnam.

    With over 48 years of experience in educating and training, the DUE has played an important role in providing a labour force specializing in business, management and economics, partly contributing to Vietnam’s economic development. We offer a wide range of under-graduate and post-graduate programs, including 04 doctoral programs, 07 master programs, and 31 under-graduate programs. High qualified teaching and research staff, including professors, senior and experienced lecturers together with learner-centered curriculums are the reflection of our aim to ceaselessly raise teaching standard. The University currently has about 15,000 students for both full-time and part-time courses.

    The DUE has cooperated with a number of companies to not only provide our students with opportunities for internship courses, but also equip them with necessary skills and capabilities to work within the context of global integration.

    Forty-seven years of vigorous growth witnesses our University achieving a variety of historical milestones. The DUE has become not only a nationally prestigious multidisciplinary higher educational institution, but also a leading research center for business management consultancy and business & economic knowledge transfer in Vietnam.

    Annually, the DUE has about 8 to 10 key research projects carried out at state, ministerial, provincial levels, and dozens of university-level projects. Additionally, the DUE collaborates with its international partner network to organize academic conferences, seminars, workshops on business, management and economic matters. These assist the University in improving teaching materials and training quality. Research activities also bring more accessibility to business environment, practices and legal aspects.

    INSTITUTE OF GLOBAL FINANCE

    Based at the University of New South Wales, the Institute of Global Finance (IGF) is housed at Australia’s leading business school, the Australian School of Business. The IGF works in collaboration with the New York University’s Volatility Institute. The IGF’s work with the NYU Volatility Institute focuses on banks’ systemic risk, global financial stability and financial institutions. The IGF works with business and finance organizations such as PwC, Finsia and BlackRock and international institutions such as the Asian Development Bank and the World Bank, with the aim of providing cutting edge research with policy applications for the finance industry and policy makers. Another objective of the IGF is the promotion of global prosperity by promoting financial policies which contribute to regional and global financial integration, amongst a number of other mechanisms.

    The IGF aims to improve global prosperity and stability through collaboration with major international institutions and leading research organizations.

    TUNKU ABDUL RAHMAN UNIVERSITY OF MANAGEMENT AND TECHNOLOGY

    Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology (‘TAR UMT’),one of the oldest institutions of higher learning in Malaysia was established in 1969 as TAR College with the focus of providing tertiary education opportunities for young Malaysians regardless of race, class and creed who were seeking quality education as well as meeting the rising demand for human capital from businesses and industries. The College started with a single campus in Setapak, Kuala Lumpur which is now the Main Campus. Subsequently, five branch campuses were established in Penang, Perak, Johor, Pahang and Sabah.

    TAR UMT has won many scholastic awards and recognition amongst which include the SETARA 5-Star rating for the year 2018 / 2019 under the University Colleges category, Premier Digital Tech Institution status awarded by Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (‘MDEC’) in 2019 for the second time and Sin Chew Education Awards 2018 / 19 where TAR UMT was named as the recipient of the Outstanding Educational Institutions: Private Universities / Colleges award, Product Award and CSR award.     The University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH), a pivotal institution in Vietnam, has undergone significant evolution since its establishment 48 years ago. It boasts a distinguished faculty trained in renowned universities worldwide, contributing to its high academic and scientific stature. UEH's commitment to research is evident through its extensive international publications, government and local level key research topics, and applied research projects. Its global collaboration network spans over 125 international education partners, including countries such as the United States, France, Australia, New Zealand, the Netherlands, South Korea, and Singapore.     In October 2023, a transformative milestone was reached when the Prime Minister of Vietnam signed Decision 1146/QD-TTg, transitioning UEH to operate under the "Multidisciplinary University" model, making it one of seven such institutions in Vietnam. This shift signifies an upgrade in its management model. In alignment with this change, UEH has established three member colleges: the College of Business, the College of Economics, Law and Government, and the College of Technology and Design, alongside its existing Vinh Long Campus.

    The university's exceptional contributions to education and development have been recognized through numerous prestigious awards, including two Third Class Labor Medals (1986), two Second Class Labor Medals (1991), two First Class Labor Medals (1996), a Third Class Independence Medal (2001), a Second Class Independence Medal (2010), a First Class Independence Medal (2021), and the title of Labor Hero (2006). Moreover, it has been acknowledged for its academic contributions, ranking in the top 10 and top 5 for prestigious international publications in Vietnam for 2019 and 2020, respectively. Notably, it led in international publications in economics and business in 2020. In the QS Asia 2024 rankings, UEH was placed in the Top 301+ universities in Asia, highlighting its academic excellence.

    VNU UNIVERSITY OF ECONOMICS AND BUSINESS

    The VNU University of Economics and Business (VNU-UEB), a prestigious member of the Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU), was officially established on March 6, 2007, by Decision No. 290/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. The inception of VNU-UEB can be traced back to the Faculty of Political Economy at the University of Hanoi in November 1974, signaling the commencement of its rich historical evolution. This evolution saw the transformation of the Faculty of Political Economy into the Faculty of Economics within the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - VNU in September 1995, and later into the Faculty of Economics - VNU in July 1999, before finally becoming the University of Economics and Business - VNU in March 2007. 

    Throughout its development, VNU-UEB has been steadfast in its commitment to enhancing the quality of education, research, and service offerings. The university aspires to be a research-oriented institution excelling in the fields of economics, management, and business administration. With a strategic vision and a robust determination to achieve international standards, VNU-UEB has significantly bolstered its position and reputation, laying a solid foundation for future growth focused on efficiency and quality. 

    In the realm of academic training, VNU-UEB has undertaken a comprehensive overhaul of its curriculum, introducing new programs and bolstering the quality of its honors, postgraduate, and international joint programs. The university now offers eight bachelor programs, eleven master's programs, and five PhD programs, with some programs being offered in collaboration with foreign institutions. Efforts to enhance training quality have included assessments of programs based on ASEAN University Network criteria and the standards of the Education & Training Ministry, leading to a noteworthy expansion in enrollment and an impressive employment rate of over 96.7% for bachelor's graduates. 

    VNU-UEB's dedication to scientific research has solidified its leading position in the academic landscape, with numerous publications in prestigious journals and projects with high practical applicability being transferred to government agencies, localities, and businesses. Research at VNU-UEB is directed towards enhancing training quality and providing policy and business consultancy in areas such as macroeconomics, sustainable development, and sectoral development.     The university's international outlook is further evidenced by its successful organization of significant academic events, such as the YSI Asia Convening 2019 and the Global Partnership of Asian Colleges (GPAC) 2019, which have drawn hundreds of scientists, students, and lecturers from across Asia and the world. 

    On the international cooperation front, VNU-UEB has fostered relationships with nearly 50 domestic strategic partners and over 30 universities and research institutes from 13 countries, enhancing its student and faculty exchange programs, and collaborative training and research initiatives. This international engagement aims to modernize teaching methodologies and strengthen global cooperation, aligning with the demands of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 and ensuring an optimal learning environment for students. 

    Over its 45 years of existence, VNU-UEB's accomplishments have been recognized by the government through the awarding of the Third-class Labor Medal in 1997 and the Second-class Labor Medal in 2004. Additionally, the university has received numerous commendations and awards from the Ministry of Education & Training and VNU, testament to its enduring commitment to excellence in education, research, and international collaboration.
