• COMBELT 2025 Conference: An International Academic Forum Promoting Governance and Sustainable Development in the Digital Era

    On the morning of August 1, 2025, the International Conference on Management, Business, Economics, Law, and Technology (COMBELT 2025) officially opened at the University of Economics – The University of Danang, marking a significant academic event within the series of activities celebrating the University's 50th anniversary.


    The conference was co-organized with partner universities including Babes-Bolyai University (Romania), Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences (Germany), Kalasin University (Thailand), the University of Liège (Belgium), National Economics University (Vietnam), National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (Taiwan), Southern Leyte State University (Philippines), University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam), University of Economics – Hue University (Vietnam), and Yuan Ze University (Taiwan).


    Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vo Thi Thuy Anh, Chairwoman of the University Council, presented flowers and commemorative plaques to the conference co-organizing institutions.


    Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doan Ngoc Phi Anh also presented flowers to express appreciation to the two keynote speakers.

    In her opening remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doan Ngoc Phi Anh, Vice Rector of the University, emphasized the special significance of the conference: “COMBELT 2025 is not only an academic forum but also an important milestone in the 50-year development journey of the University of Economics. We expect the conference to stimulate vibrant discussions, create opportunities for collaboration, and generate practical solutions to promote sustainable development in a rapidly changing world.”.

    The COMBELT 2025 International Conference attracted more than 200 scholars and featured over 150 research papers presented by experts and researchers from numerous universities, academies, and organizations both domestically and internationally.

    A highlight of this year’s conference was the participation of two distinguished keynote speakers in the fields of marketing and digital governance:

    • Prof. Ralf Schellhase, Professor at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences (Germany)

    • Prof. Nicolae Urs, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Political, Administrative and Communication Sciences in Cluj-Napoca, Babes-Bolyai University (Romania).


    During the plenary session, the conference featured keynote presentations from the two speakers:

    • Prof. Ralf Schellhase (Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences, Germany) delivered a keynote titled “International Cooperation in Higher Education for Sustainable Development.”

    • Prof. Nicolae Urs (Babes-Bolyai University, Romania) presented “Comparing Public Governance Practices and Digital Transformation in Local Governance.”

    International and domestic delegates actively participated in discussions throughout the conference.

    Across 25 parallel sessions, participants engaged in discussions centered on two key objectives:

    • Promoting applied research and innovation in management, circular economy, and digital economy, while supporting businesses in effectively adapting to legal and technological changes in the context of globalization and digital transformation.

    • Encouraging entrepreneurship and strengthening collaboration between research institutions, universities, and the business community in order to enhance knowledge transfer and the practical application of research outcomes.



    Delegates actively participated in discussions throughout the conference.

    The conference concluded with the Best Paper Award ceremony honoring outstanding research contributions:

    • Tran Thang Long with the paper “Digital Assets in the International Investment Legal Framework: Challenges and Solutions for Vietnam.”

    • Chau Thi Da Huong and Le Dien Tuan with the paper “From Black-box to Glass-box: Explainable Deep Learning for Credit Risk Prediction.”

    • Truong Thi Phuong Anh and Pham Ngoc Duy with the paper “Linking Servant Leadership to Frugal Innovation: The Role of Corporate Social Responsibility and Perceived Organizational Support.”


    The organizing committee presented the Best Paper Awards to the authors of outstanding research papers at the COMBELT 2025 Conference.

    The COMBELT 2025 Conference created academic value by providing opportunities for research publication in reputable international journals in the fields of management, business, economics, law, and technology, while also publishing conference proceedings with an ISBN index. The conference also offered practical recommendations for Vietnamese enterprises in areas such as digital marketing, sustainable finance, circular economy, smart tourism, and technology governance.

    More importantly, the conference contributed to enhancing Vietnam’s academic reputation and research capacity by strengthening international collaboration with leading experts and scholars in the fields of marketing, business law, and e-government.
