Mid-Year Review Conference 2026: Fostering Innovation and Enhancing Task Performance

In order to comprehensively evaluate task performance over the first six months and align on key directions and solutions for the period ahead, on July 3, the University of Economics convened its Mid-Year Review Conference and outlined orientations and solutions for the latter half of 2026.


The conference was attended and directed by the university leadership: Prof. Dr. Le Van Huy - Rector, Dr. Huynh Thi Hong Hanh - Vice Rector and Chairwoman of the Trade Union, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doan Ngoc Phi Anh - Vice Rector, alongside heads of faculties, departments, and affiliated centers.

In his directive remarks, Prof. Dr. Le Van Huy acknowledged and commended the efforts and sense of responsibility of all units, staff, and employees for their coordinated implementation of tasks, contributing to the university’s positive results during the first half of 2026. The university leadership emphasized that, amid new opportunities and challenges for higher education brought on by digital transformation, international integration, and the need for governance reform, the entire institution must continue to promote solidarity and innovation. The student-centric approach, alongside a focus on quality and efficiency, should serve as the measure for all activities.

At the conference, delegates heard the mid-year report on task implementation across all areas of work. According to the report, the university has comprehensively executed tasks according to the academic year and 2026 work plans, achieving positive outcomes in human resource management, training, scientific research, international cooperation, admissions, assessment, quality assurance, student affairs, corporate relations, and communications.

University leaders, together with heads of faculties, departments, and centers, focused on discussing key tasks and solutions for the final six months of 2026. The discussions closely adhered to the university’s overall development goals, with multiple practical measures proposed to enhance governance, training quality, scientific research, and student services.

During the discussion session, units proposed continued advancement in the application of digital technology in management, administration, and teaching; promotion of innovative activities in teaching, research, and knowledge transfer; and development of sustainable solutions for governance, academics, environment, and social responsibility.

The conference also served as a forum for the university’s units to share experiences and discuss challenges encountered in implementation, aiming to reach consensus on coordinated solutions and enhance operational effectiveness across the university in the final six months of 2026.

In closing remarks, the Board of Rectors called on all units to continue fostering solidarity, initiative, creativity, and responsibility in executing assigned tasks. The Board urged strict adherence to established objectives and targets, effective implementation of key measures, and commitment to fulfilling the 2026 work plan, thereby further consolidating the university’s standing and reputation within the higher education sector.
