The University of Economics Gathers Feedback on 2025 Annual Economic Report Growth Scenarios

The University of Da Nang - University of Economics convened a roundtable on June 24, 2026, to collect feedback on the draft “2025 Da Nang City Annual Economic Report - Growth Scenarios for Da Nang City in the New Context”.
Speaking at the opening, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doan Ngoc Phi Anh, Vice Rector of the university, emphasized that developing growth scenarios for the city is of particular significance as the world faces unpredictable upheavals, ranging from geopolitical competition and supply chain shifts to digital transformation, green transition, and the imperative for sustainable development. Meanwhile, Vietnam is targeting double-digit economic growth in the coming period, requiring localities to proactively build forecasting tools and craft appropriate policy planning.

During the session, delegates heard two presentations:
- “Overview of Global Developments and Lessons Learned for Da Nang City”, delivered by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Van Hai (University of Economics, University of Da Nang).
- “Growth Models and Scenarios for Da Nang City”, presented by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Truong Hong Trinh (University of Economics, University of Da Nang).
A delegate delivers a presentation
The draft 2025 Da Nang Annual Economic Report aims to provide scientific and practical arguments to inform the public policy-making process. The report focuses on assessing the socio-economic development situation of the city, identifying new growth drivers, and proposing development scenarios based on institutional conditions, resources, and both domestic and international economic contexts.
The roundtable was organized to gather critical feedback and suggestions regarding the suitability of growth scenarios, the feasibility of development targets, as well as policy recommendations for the city in the coming period. Contributions from experts and policymakers will serve as a vital foundation for the research team to continue reviewing, supplementing, and finalizing the 2025 Da Nang City Annual Economic Report prior to its official release.
