Student Forum on Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and the Launch of Startup Runway 2026

On the morning of January 8, 2026, the University of Economics - University of Danang (DUE) organized the Student Forum on Entrepreneurship and Innovation and the Launching Ceremony of Startup Runway 2026. The event aimed to inspire the entrepreneurial and innovative spirit among students and the community, while strengthening linkages between the University, businesses, and Da Nang’s startup ecosystem.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doan Ngoc Phi Anh, Vice Rector of the University of Economics - University of Danang, emphasized that entrepreneurship and innovation in higher education institutions are no longer merely extracurricular activities, but have become strategic missions contributing to the development of high-quality human resources with innovative thinking, creative capacity, and the ability to adapt quickly to the demands of the digital economy. Today’s Forum was designed to create a space for students to access modern entrepreneurial mindsets, connect with resources, and gradually form and develop innovative startup ideas and projects.

Within the framework of the Forum, the Launching Ceremony of Startup Runway 2026 officially took place, aiming to discover and support the development of potential startup ideas.

Since its establishment in 2016, Startup Runway has become one of the flagship entrepreneurship programs of the University of Economics – University of Danang, gradually forming a comprehensive startup support journey closely connected to the ecosystem and market access.

Entering 2026, the competition continues to be developed following the orientation of discovery - development - investment connection, promoting the commercialization of research results and innovative ideas.

On the same morning, the University of Economics - University of Danang officially launched the Entrepreneurship Advisory Council, aiming to strengthen strategic consulting, connect experts, enterprises, and investors, and mobilize social resources. The Council will accompany and support students and lecturers in the formation and development of innovative startup ideas and projects, contributing to building and developing the University’s startup ecosystem.

In addition, panel discussions, thematic talk shows, and exhibitions of student startup ideas and projects, OCOP products, and local innovative products played an important role in connecting academic knowledge with real-world production and business practices. These activities also helped spread the spirit of innovation, while providing students with opportunities to develop skills, expand their networks, and access the market from an early stage.

The Student Forum on Entrepreneurship and Innovation and the Launch of Startup Runway 2026 continue to affirm the role of the University of Economics – University of Danang in creating a practice-oriented learning environment, promoting entrepreneurship and innovation among students, and making positive contributions to the socio-economic development of the Central Highlands and Central Vietnam region.
