Four Points by Sheraton Hotel Awards Scholarships to Encourage Outstanding

Students of the University of EconomicsOn the morning of November 19, 2025, the University of Economics – University of Danang (DUE) in collaboration with Four Points by Sheraton Danang and Courtyard by Marriott Danang Han River held a scholarship award ceremony to honor outstanding students majoring in Hotel Management.

Attending the ceremony were Mr. Shujoy Jha - Operations Director of Four Points by Sheraton Danang; Ms. Bui Thi Bich Lien - Human Resources Director of the hotel cluster, along with their delegation. Representing the University of Economics were Dr. Huynh Thi Hong Hanh - Vice Rector; leaders from the Academic Affairs Department, Student Affairs Department, Enterprise Relations and Communications Office; as well as faculty heads, lecturers, and students from the Faculty of Tourism.

Dr. Huynh Thi Hong Hanh emphasized the significance of practice-oriented training programs, especially the ongoing support from enterprises in the hospitality and service sector for the professional development journey of DUE students.


Dr. Huynh Thi Hong Hanh emphasized the close connection between training and real-world business practices.

 

Mr. Shujoy Jha delivered a speech at the scholarship award ceremony.

To recognize the efforts and outstanding achievements of students, Four Points by Sheraton Danang awarded 6 scholarships as follows:

Students receiving scholarships from Four Points by Sheraton Danang:

- Nguyen Thi Cam Tu - Class 49K23.1: VND 15 million

- Dương Thi Thanh Ha - Class 49K23.1: VND 10 million

- Tran Thi Hien Giang - Class 49K23.1: VND 5 million

Students receiving scholarships from Courtyard by Marriott Danang Han River:

- Do Chau Sa - Class 50K23.1: VND 15 million

- Nguyen Thi Khanh Vy - Class 50K23.1: VND 10 million

- Tran Thi Nguyen Ngoc - Class 50K23.1: VND 5 million


Mr. Shujoy Jha and Ms. Bui Thi Bich Lien personally presented the scholarships to the DUE students.

On behalf of the scholarship recipients, Nguyen Thi Cam Tu shared her emotions: “During our recent internship, we had the opportunity to experience a professional working environment and received dedicated guidance from the hotels. Those valuable experiences have nurtured our passion for the profession and given us confidence in the career path we have chosen. We sincerely thank the University’s Board of Rectors and the Faculty of Tourism for always supporting, guiding, and connecting students with the hospitality industry through practical and effective training programs. In particular, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to the hotels and Mr. Shujoy Jha for awarding us these meaningful scholarships. This support is not only of financial value but also a tremendous source of motivation for us to continue striving in our studies and personal development".

These scholarships recognize students’ academic efforts, progressive spirit, and passion for the hospitality profession, while further affirming the sustainable cooperative relationship between the university and prestigious enterprises under the Marriott Group.
