EXTENSION OF APPLICATION DEADLINE FOR SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS

The Office of Science and International Cooperation would like to announce the extension of the application deadline for the scholarship program offered by the Government of Japan for Vietnamese students to study the Modern Japan program in English at Waseda University, Japan.

1. Eligibility and requirements for the scholarship:

• Students from the University of Economics, with priority given to first-year students.
• Excellent academic performance in high school.
• Minimum IELTS score of 6.0.

1. Other scholarship-related information:

• Start of the program: September 2017.
• Scholarship duration: Throughout the four years of undergraduate study.
• The scholarship includes tuition fees for four years, monthly living allowance of approximately USD 1500, and round-trip airfare.
• After completing the first two years of study, students may choose to pursue an additional specialized field of study concurrently.

1. Scholarship application documents:

• CV.

• Personal statement letter requesting the scholarship.

• Recommendation letter from the department.

• University transcripts (if available).

• High school diploma and transcripts.

• IELTS English proficiency certificate.

All documents must be translated into English and notarized if not in the original language.

1. Application deadline: January 20, 2017.
