    Venue: The University of Danang, University of Economics Danang City, Vietnam

    The University of Danang - University of Economics (DUE, Vietnam), Institute of Global Finance at the University of New South Wales (Australia), and Aston University (UK), are organizing the 6th International Conference on Accounting and Finance (ICOAF-2021), to be held on June 11-12th, 2021 in Danang City, Vietnam.

    As a result of DUE’s close collaboration with international partners, the ICOAF-2021 brings together the world-leading experts in accounting, finance, and related fields, serving as a unique point of convergence in South East Asia for researchers, practitioners and policymakers to meet, share, and exchange their ideas.

     The Organizing Committee would like to invite you to be a part of the ICOAF-2021 and submit your research papers for presentation consideration. The conference welcomes submissions in all areas of finance, banking, and accounting, of both theoretical and empirical natures (English only).

     KEYNOTE SPEAKERS

    Professor Jonathan Batten, Professor of Finance at RMIT University.

    Prof. Batten is the managing editor of Elsevier’s highly ranked Emerging Markets Review, and Journal of International Financial Markets Institutions and Money, and co-editor of Finance Research Letters.

    His research topics cover several disciplines in the business area he has published work on insider trading and market manipulation, bond pricing and corporate foreign exchange risk management in top-tier journals (e.g. Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis and Journal of International Business Studies). In addition, he has also published work in leading journals in applied mathematics on complexity in financial time series (e.g. Chaos and Physica A), on stock, gold and energy market integration (Energy EconomicsEnergy Policy and Resources Policy).

    Professor Cameron Truong, Professor of Accounting at Monash University.

    Prof. Truong is a world-class researcher and has published numerous articles in leading peer-reviewed accounting and international business journals, including Journal of Accounting Research, The Accounting Review, The Review of Accounting Studies, Contemporary Accounting Research, Auditing: a Journal of Practice and Theory, Journal of Business Finance and Accounting, Journal of Financial Markets, Journal of Corporate Finance, Journal of Banking and Finance. Prof. Truong has won several Best Paper Awards at leading international accounting and finance conferences and several competitive research grants (AFAANZ and ACFS research grants).

    SPECIAL SESSION

    The ICOAF-2021 is also aimed at providing a forum for focused discussions on the feasibility of financial reporting standards/guidelines for nonprofit organisations – especially NGOs that receive grants from large entities. Therefore, a special session on the International Financial Reporting for Nonprofit Organisations will be run by Professor Carolyn Cordery, Professor in Charity Accounting and Accountability at Aston University (UK).

     PUBLICATION OPPORTUNITY

    In consultation with the Editors-in-Chief and Prof. Duc Khuong Nguyen, authors of high-quality research papers will be invited to submit their manuscripts to a regular issue of International Journal of Emerging Markets (SSCI/Q2) and Journal of Economic Asymmetries (SCOPUS/Q2) with fast track review. Also, all accepted papers for ICOAF-2021 will be published in the conference proceedings with an associated ISBN.

    All submissions must be in Word format, and be sent electronically via the conference website by no later than March 31st, 2021. Also, depending on the COVID-19 pandemic, the conference’s scientific committee can hold 1-2 online parallel sessions. The conference scientific program will be available by June 01st, 2021.

    BEST PAPER AWARDS

    All papers will be considered for the Best Paper Award in Finance, and in Accounting.

    Registration fee includes the abstract book, the conference proceeding CD, and other conference materials. It also includes coffee breaks, lunch, and a gala dinner during the conference. Accommodation is not included.
